    Great video, love the detail in all of them - especially for us wanting to get any bits of info we can. I wish RecRoom/Carlos would offer some of the other cabinets again as well (Vertical or X-tension) soon too.

      Carlos has said he will release some of the other cabinets in the future. I am anxiously awaiting the vertical cab.

    Looks great Adam! Just want to point out that normally the artwork is included with the cab and it is even easier to apply it before/during the assembly process.

    Great job and great videos!!! I, like others, are interested in the tear down video of the Xtension. I am very interested in getting an arcade cabinet from RRM (I have an older x-gaming/x-arcade crt cab) but would like to replace the buttons with RGB LED as well as install different joysticks - 4-way becomes a flight stick, 1p becomes a ulticmarc analog joystick and 2p becomes a 4/8 way servo stick. With the Xtension current joysticks having no top bolts, just curious how easy or hard that would be? Thanks!

    Adam, we have the same RRM Cabinet and control deck. This is a shot it in the dark but I was talking to Glenn P. From GRS , Glens Retro show and you know he has a awesome spinner and trackball etc. But the rec room masters spinner is high quality. My question is he sells the steering wheel add on that just snaps onto the top of his spinner and it has adapters to raise the height etc. ,but it's not a cheap wheel , it's a decent solid wheel.
    Do you happen to have one to see if it would fit on the RRM spinner? Both Glenn's spinner and the rec room spinner top comes off using a Allen key and you can pop the steering wheel on. I dont want to replace the spinner just for the wheel since it's such a high quality spinner, especially since I have my g29 steering wheel setup hooked up to my gaming pc and rec room masters cabinet. The $40 pop on wheel would work perfectly just for some quick mame racing games , old school , without me having to hook up my g29 setup which has the shifter and pedals . Anyway always fun talking to you. If you can let me know or hit me up on Facebook. All my stuff is public. Lol

    Adam, i know this out of left field but would you be interested in logging into my megacade remotely and assign/map the arcade button layout and led blinky layout. My arcade buttons haven't workrd in months and i have no idea how to map them. Id be happy to pay for your expertise and it would be VERY appreciated.

    Very cool! Man I just wish the Emulator Plus Edition control panel had those 2 extra thumb buttons on a 3rd bottom row like the regular Edition... then it would be a perfect controller. I need those 2 extra buttons for several games, including the modern Mortal Kombat games.

      My buddies and I had the exact same observation yesterday. Something maybe Carlos can consider, but I also think the old control panel had the room for them if you’re handy with a drill

    • @obsidian1710
      @obsidian1710 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ArcadeAdam I have considered that. I wonder if there is room for 4 more buttons on the encoder board itself...

    • @ArcadeAdam
      @ArcadeAdam  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@obsidian1710 I’ll try and remember to cover this in my teardown video, but! If there isn’t room, you can double map the dedicated 4-way player 1 A/B buttons to actual player 1 A/B buttons to make room. This will electrically bind those buttons instead of binding them in software…

    Looks great! I'm curious, what (if anything) will you do to help cover the edges of the plexiglass, where you can sort of see through/past and into the cabinet? I'm talking about the area where usually a bezel would go. Anyways, the cabinet's looking awesome!

    • @ArcadeAdam

      On my old RRM cabinet I did a super cheap mod, I got a black poster from a crafts store and stapled it to the back, worked beautifully

    • @Recroommasters

      You can mask off the monitor area with newspaper/painters tape and use black spray paint, it looks great. Just remove the tape before the paint dries to avoid ripping off the paint.

    Dying to see the video where you tear the controller down so we can see inside and how the artwork swap went. I'm specifically interested in how the pinball wires are connected inside and how the coin door is wired. Also would love to see how big of a monitor you could fit in the cabinet. it looks like there is a lot of space around the edges to maybe setup up a size? Can't wait to see the PC upgrade as I am considering this cabinet and controller to upgrade my Arcade-One system. Thanks in advance.

    Watching your video, I have a few issues with the new ownership of Rec Room Masters..
    1. When will they make available the option for you to submit your own custom artwork for your cabinet? And not be limited to only their choices?
    2. Why was the On/Off switch for the Navigation Menu deleted from this new incarnation of the Rec Room Masters cabinet? Having the lights on while during gameplay is distracting, IMHO.
    3. Is the artwork clear laminated to protect it from moisture? I don’t think so based on your descriptions in your video.
    (This last point is a MAJOR ISSUE to me)
    4. Why is it left up to the customer to install the vinyl artwork? Granted, you were, in your video, installing the artwork on an already assembled cabinet and it would have been much easier to apply the artwork on the individual pieces separately then assemble your cabinet. Too much room for error here having the customer apply the artwork themselves. Bear in mind, the customer is spending at least, $1,300 for this cabinet, Why isn’t Carlos doing that for the customer?!?!
