I'm a Uber driver. i used to spent 600-1000 usd permonth for fuel, depend on how often i got order. since i used EV i only spent 150-300 usd permonth, with the similar range of driving. that was a huge saving for me. Plus, I don't need to change oil engine for EV, which is another saving for my little wallet. so far, the only maintenance i spent for my EV was changing tire.

Love the way the screen on the instrument cluster gives you the kW being drawn at each moment. It's sort of like the old rev counters in an ICE, giving an indication of how much power you're using. Very useful if you're on low charge and want to drive as conservatively as possible. Nice big numerals as well.

I also did a long range high speed test in my Seal Premium. Headwinds matter, and I suspect that your return trip had a headwind hence slightly less efficient.
My trip south gave a projected range of 460km, and the return was 550km. Because of a strong headwind!
Also, ECO mode is encouraged on the freeway. You won’t notice any difference there, I don’t reckon.
I’ve also driven down to VIC and back from Sydney. I’m comfortable with 300km segments and taking 2-3 30 min breaks to charge. The 500km+ range enables this.
Again though, headwinds matter for any car. I’d encourage people to consider them in a trip.

For your question, there is a break in period to every mechanical part of the car that includes the transmission reduction gear, also for the bearings of everything from the electrical engine to the wheels etc... also the car's breaks need burn in and the suspension. they shed small metal particles when they are new and reshape their surfaces. so do it gently for the first 1000 miles.
*also the rubber of the wheels need first 300km to reshape its surface for best traction. bare that in mind.

Hi Tom. Here the pain in the *** :) Flavio (direct from Portugal). Nice driving, beautiful landscapes, good narration :) , and what a good consumption. I'm currently at 24 to 48h to decide between a Seal AWD a Tesla 3 SR and a Prius Prime. Yes Prius is an outlier but for my daily driving it means EV driving all the kms and for road trips I have the ICE and no worries about charging. BYD seal is 3000€ more (in my set up in the Tesla 3 SR I added the grey paint and the 19'' Wheels. Prius is less 8 000€ than the BYD Seal. Not the same cars (Prius I would say that is a lower segment) but 8 000€ is a lot... BTW my current car is s Opel/Vauxhall Insignia 2.0 diesel. Keep the good work!

One thing I really like about EVs (especially in my Model Y) is how well it does hold the speed while on cruise control - seems to be a lot more accurate than ICE vehicles. I occasionally drive through the tunnels here in Brisbane, and some of them have fairly steep inclines and declines. All our tunnels here have speed cameras in them, so it's reassuring to know the car won't "drift" in speed inside.

Have just commenced looking at YT, EV videos.
    Yours are very informing.
However, I have one major criticism, in this, and other videos, a huge amount of time is taken up looking at the large screen, would hate to see other drivers stop dead in front of you.
Also, not everyone owns, or runs their lives by an Iphone. On these extended drives, am very interested in driver/passenger comfort, interior noise, and for many people who do these drives, there is just no need to be mega focussed on the ?? ""Ways" screen. Having driven interstate, not to mention within Victoria, for many years, I actually know where I am going and road signage is, now, vastly improved and shows the way, without the need, again, to quite worryingly taking your eyes off the road so often, to look at this screen.
Others may disagree, however I think this is the start of a good longer distance , and extended version could easily focus on the matters referred to above.

Tom, an idea for a future video would be to test your car along a standardised 50km stretch of highway at 110km/h, 105 and 100 (113/108/103 in your car) to compare the efficiency of the different speeds. It will be useful for those who may need to stretch out their range to avoid charging for a particular long trip and help them see the range gains differences between the 3 speeds. It’s probably not worth testing a speed of 95km/h as it then becomes unsafe to drive that much under the speed limit in a 110 zone.

Depends on which variant they used as the base “Dynamic” variant only has 60kWh capacity

Australia needs change the motorway highway speed limit to 120 or 130. Pathetic its still 110..police need to do some things to change it to higher
