I own a B8 Passat 2.0 and M4C. This seal driving experience in terms of comfort and solidness are way higher than Passat. When come to power, Seal is almost like the M4C or maybe better. With the price tag of 200K, it is definetly a worth buying car. Well done BYD.

Hahaha - It did quite well even on these eco tyres - I would really love to try out a set of SC7's - I think it will make a great difference. I am surprised how these eco tires were selected over the UC or SC considering the Seal was slotted to fight the T brand.
Tested both variant amazing car and huge value of car , my m5 cost me 800k also slightly miss the test drive haha it’s perfect comfort and balance handling yet most amazing the throttle respond , NA feel instant for Touge Build quality too so comfortable to touch for. A 200k brand new car absolutely worth it

Thanks YS. I have a similar Seal so its great to see its capabilities in the hands of a professional campion. It will give me confidence to use more of the power on challenging roads. So far love the car after just over 1000km, I needed more performance than my ATTO 3 has to offer.

And now, the resale value of EVs still sucks, but the resale value of those robust Japanese ICE cars drops even more! And their new car prices have dropped ~20~40% too. Maybe it will not be as drastic because of limited charging available, but it will be the long trend. Used car prices is going to crash, EV or not.

What an amazing car it is. Fun factor seems above bar. Passing the hump and bumps seems very smooth compare some others car Mr Khong driven. I bet you gain more range when descending and reaching Gombak toll.
He had a golf r if I’m not mistaken. Trading a golf r for this China car is a downgrade in my opinion. Golf r has an actual engine sound and the note to it is music. EV’s are empty vessels. No soul to it. Seal should be compared to the Tesla.
Now this is what we call 'over the segment attack' 降维打击。 Even BMW 3 series in front of Seal is a little brother, not to mention Honda Accord and Toyota Camry. Japanese cars are doomed.

Apologise for a late comment. I shud think that the power-fade mentioned on 19:56 be properly addressed by someone who knows. This is the 2nd BYD that suffered same power-fade on this uphill mountainous testing ground. Would be delighted to hear of issues on whys, what happened and how to eliminate this uncertainty. Don't get surprised. Im not sure about BYD electric cars, but when I mentioned about BYD brand to my colleague from Algeria, right away, they told me it's a shit car. Apparently, they sold a lot of BYD F0 in north africa, which is a really shitty car

The BYD SEAL is a very good and affordable car, if govt willing to adjust the EV roadtax (390Kw), frankly I will go and trade in my current drive immediately. Just not willing to pay RM7,504.00 roadtax after 2025.

BYD Trec staff are very friendly. I went there 2 times and both times they speak fluent Malay to us. They are also very knowledgeable.
