Just goes to show how little we actually need to survive and be happy 😊 Not to mention that our ancestors survived with way less! We have become so spoiled we have failed to enjoy life with less because we have bought into the mindset that more is better!
I love this channel. It makes me think that I'm not crazy for wanting to live in a van. Everyone near me thinks I'm out of my mind.

Great videography Bob. The crisp, clear, video with close-ups is outstanding. I'm very proud of you. Also Dee is a trooper. A tenacious life warrior. I tried Nomad for two weeks in 2005, after Katrina. Her van would have made it easier.

I also have a Transit Connect, and they are wonderful. So easy to drive, able to go off-road almost anywhere, and stealthy in the cities, just another little delivery van. Thanks for this video... her layout is excellent, and I will copy that back-door shower rig. My only caveat would be that it is too small for two people. But perfect for one!

When I find that perfect connect I am doing her exact build...it is perfect. Love that she did all this without complicated electronics, without altering the van and keeping an open floor between the doors...it is perfect for the space.

I found a promaster city cargo van just like this with low price and low miles and I am thinking about going and look and test drive it and if I like it I may go ahead and trade my Subaru outback in on it. And I like what she has done with this van. I also watch a lot of these videos and I often wondered why people didn’t do what this lady did and open the doors and make a door shower. I think it’s perfect. I believe this has been one of my favorite videos.

At 57, a single female, I've been secretly dreaming about becoming a nomad for quite some time. Both my sons are grown and live 100 plus miles away from me. My mom was here in the same town until she recently lost her battle with cancer. Although I have a wonderful living situation in a subsidized senior complex, the town is very rural. Medical services, other than standard, nurse practitioner issues, require at least 100 miles journey. There's only one market and it's very expensive. Then there's more positives... I live in this rural town on the shores of a gorgeous lake... Negatives. It snows. It snows a lot in the winter. In fact we had snow just two weekends ago. Not feets worth, but still. It highest temperature in the summer is an average of mid to upper 90s with an occasional rise to low 100s. I just think it makes more sense for me to go mobile so I can be nearer my children, nearer medical services, and I can always travel back here when the weather is ideal. Camp on the Lakeshore.... Yep. It's doable.

Nice layout with minimal building needed. I have a concern with her water container in the back that's hooked up to her shower and her drinking water pump. She said it was from a dog shower. Is the plastic rated for storing . water. A lot of plastics leach toxins.

My 2010 Honda Odyssey gets 25 mpg on a good highway. Perhaps I'll consider a 30 mpg Transit for my next ride. Thanks for the interview.

Deeeeee, great interview with an amazingly uplifting lady! I live off grid and found Dee awhile back because she's always sharing hacks that are relatable. Lady Bugout is such a well thought out rig and I'm so glad she got to share her story of how her final van decision came to be, love her channel. I can't help but smile back when that little red Transit rolls through my screen with her huge, beaming smile!
