How you save a piece after it goes south (or in this case across the shop) is ALWAYS more interesting. Thank you for sharing. And, it really turned out nice
It turned out beautifully! The grains are so nicely aligned and that color of green is one of my favorites. I can see more bowls similar to this with various colors of veneer to make a set.
Hey rob, can you adjust where the ad comesin. It was mid catch so it got lost in the advertisement! either two secods earlier or right after you re-chuck if you can
I got a catch on the oak (me pushing too hard, or dull tool, or just a stubborn bit of wood). Oak can be quite 'chippy' and doesn't always turn as well as other woods. I also needed to sharpen my gouge, as oak is very tough. Thanks for watching 👍

It's amazing how that thin piece if green transforms the bowl. Thank you 👍

Fixed. Thanks for highlighting this. I had clicked auto, without checking myself. 👍
Thanks for sharing, just curious as a newbie, what caused that to fly off?

Good save , question where did you get your name plates made !
Thank you. I have a laser engraver, so I make the name discs myself on 3mm hardboard. 😀
