Nice job mate looks wicked I've had a mare this week with turning bowls blew the arse out of 2 i was so close to finishing 🤬. Were do you get your veneers?? 🏴👍
@ full of ideas, but little ability. 🤷🏻♂️ Oh well. How would it look with squared off letters embedded before turning? Probably not good but if it peaks your interest… Maybe something for kids or family name.
Brilliant looking bowl and thanks for sharing. Just wondering why you done the glue up in 2 separate jobs , I do mine at the same time or am I doing it wrong or is it just a preference that you have . Thanks from Doug
Good question. If I’m gluing up a rectangle or square then I tend to glue everything at once. Because the blank was circular it’s tricky to sit correctly in a clamp, so I usually glue it over 2 sittings. Thanks for asking 😎👍👍👍
A lovely bowl. Your hollowing technique makes it look so easy.
Thank you very much! It’s more that I keep my tools super sharp 😎👍👍
The contrasting colors are FANTASTIC!!!!
Thank you so much!! It is trying to find the balance of the right level of understated detail, just enough to enhance the piece to that special level.
Well, you do a great job of it.
B E A UTIFUL, you can never go wrong with green accents when you have lighter and darker woods. Thanks again for the videos.😎
Glad you like them! I love a good glue up. 😀❤👍👍👍
That is a nice bowl with those contrasting colors with the colored veneer and the sapele 👍👍
Thank you. I'm really pleased with this one!❤😎👍
Absolutely beautiful 😍. Thank you for sharing. Merry Christmas.
Thank you! You too! 🎅
Thanks 👍
No problem 👍😀
Beautiful piece, thanks for sharing
Thank you! Cheers! 🎅👍
Wow very nice
Thank you so much 😀👍
Super lamination. I just sold a laminated bowl, 3 scrap pieces glued up and turned. Well done.
No scrap goes to waste! Yes, I love a glue up, it's the waiting for it to dry that is the challenge!
love it the use of the veneer really make it stand out
I've just bough some more veneer. The new stuff is 1.8mm, rather than the 0.6 used here, so hopefully it will standout that little bit more. 👍
👍👍👍
Thank you

I get them from the wood veneer hub www.thewoodveneerhub.co.uk/ Great quality and very well packaged. 👍
I would have cut the width out of the blank first. Very nice piece btw. More color would be my preference though.
That makes sense for a more even match up, thanks for the idea. 👍
