This is my first first ever TH-cam comment. I've been a fan of yours since your HRG days. 74 year old here, and the first family car I can remember was our '55 Buick Special station wagon. I remember my mom taking my brother and I somewhere and suddenly pull over, stop and turn around in her seat and yell at us, "if you two don't stop fooling around I'm going to murder you." We climbed all the way to the back and just laughed. Good times. I"m excited to follow this project.

Tony, first of all, thanks for doing these videos. It's great! I have done that drive across the George Washington, through Manhattan, and Queens, and into Long Island. Then drove back, with an old worktruck squarebody with a toolbed, bad brakes, and no idle. Fun times! Love those 55's.

I don't know much about anything older than 65 so its cool to learn about this Buick. Its a great looking car and I'm excited for this project. The last video got my excited about supercharging something, I bought an m90 supercharger for $50 and I am going to adapt it onto my 88 4 runner. maybe it will actually do a burnout when I'm done!
I have a 1956 Buick Special 4d hardtop that is mostly original. I have installed a modern brake booster with a dual pot master cylinder on it, and electric wipers, but other than that it is stock. I have had it for 38 years.
I used to have a 54 Mercury 2 door hardtop. It was a damn nice looking car. It had a 2 speed automatic, vacuum wipers, power brakes, an overhead valve v8, and a tube radio THAT WORKED.
Got my car from long island. Lot of people live there. Most people take care of their homes, vehicles. Highly recommend the island for wuality cars and trucks.
Love old Buicks. Such a great style. It's a shame somebody already pulled out the original drivetrain. But I'd love to have something like this to cruise in. Regardless of what the drivetrain is or what it looks like
Try venting your fuel jar with a second hose from the cap to the bottom of the jar. When it's upside down air can get in and you won't have a vacuum in the jar.

1955 Buicks are my all time favorite! I love this, i am also building one over on my channel, loving the content guys!
Love the four-door hardtop! An extinct bodystyle that still looks great.
That was awesome! I really enjoy your channel and projects. Tony you have inspired me to get off my ass and get my 56 chevy truck running again. I’ve had it since 1980. Looking forward to seeing more of your projects.
Man what an EPIC car and build. Cant wait for next week
I just yesterday picked up a 54 kaiser special for a project car, now I sit down at my computer today to see my boy tony gots him a 50s sled too.
Great to see you and Derek! You need to give him a hand on another project when he's in your neck of the woods!
My grandfather had a 55 Buick Special that my dad used to drive. He always said that the dynaflow transmission was the smoothest transmission every
Gotta be honest, when you lifted the hood and said there was a small block in it my heart sank, but I kept watching reluctantly. Nice save though.
I have a 1956 Buick Special 4d hardtop that is mostly original. I have installed a modern brake booster with a dual pot master cylinder on it, and electric wipers, but other than that it is stock. I have had it for 38 years.
BattleBorn Brakes sells a kit to replace the brake pedal and put the master cylinder under the hood on this car.
Brother I do this drive once a year for Easter to see family. That drive hurts my soul.
I used to have a 54 Mercury 2 door hardtop. It was a damn nice looking car. It had a 2 speed automatic, vacuum wipers, power brakes, an overhead valve v8, and a tube radio THAT WORKED.
Beautiful car! Nothing wrong with a small block Chevy. Can't wait to see it on the road!
Thanks! Appreciate it!
Tony and Derek together would rule the internet ,the ultimate channel !
Cool to see the mirrors. I have one I have had for a very long time and had no idea what it went on, it just looked cool.
Derek's back! I guess now that he's in the 'hood, we'll be seeing him more often? That'd be great, 'cause you guys are good together on camera.
Love the car, and am really looking forward to what you're gonna do with it!✌️❤️🙂🇨🇦
I noticed the editing upgrades this episode. Music & slow-Mos and more. Keep rocking on guys. Appreciate this sbow
