- After @LordBeerusHakaiGod tipped me off that you could get the Zero's Z-Saber, my mind started cranking out how to do it.
He told me that there were only two endings and getting the Z-Saber would give me an ending I didn't want (which I'd already experienced with Doppler saving you at the end). It stood to reason that for X to get the Saber that Zero would have to die. But where? And how?
In my first streamed playthrough, I let Zero die - not realizing that he only has one life. In that playthrough, I was never given the Saber. So, it seemed there would only be given to X under very specific circumstances. Details in the video.

I find it's honestly easier to just shoot final form sigma normally, because you can't fire the beam sword from the wall. That way you can focus more on dodging his attack patterns. Nice job landing it on him!

You're absolutely right, though. The beam sabre has a bit of a windup, so it's a bitch to time it right.
Super fantastic progress that you have made in a short time. Imagine that X3 Z-Saber damage in X4 or X5. It doesn't work that way but can you imagine if it did

X4’s saber is more broken tho,
The first 2 slash doesn’t trigger the invincibility of the boss so you can slash twice and cancel it with a dash. It melts the bosses health like butter and you can do this at the beginning of the game

Makes sense that speedrunners would use it.
An actual human being on this god forsaken platform. Holy hell its so bad out there with the bots that this stands out just by being a regular human being.

What I thought sucked about this game was that if Zero died at any time in game, he was no longer playable. And X would automatically take over at before walking through a door.
But I like X being able to get the sabre from Zero if you lose him in one of the last stages.
Yeah - I didn't realize that Zero only had one life to live. I found out the hard way, when I got him killed on some spikes on my first streamed playthrough.
It mentions that he only has one life in the manual, but that's only useful if you actually READ the manual. I did not. 🙄
But there is a trade off by using the Z-Saber. Sure you get OP but you also sacrifice the Zero ending to the game so there is a technical price to pay you use it. But absolutely easier than entering the directionals like the Hadoken and shoryuken.
Yeah, I prefer the Zero ending. Doppler saving you just doesn't seem right. But hearing Zero's theme come on as he busts through the sealing is much more satisfying.
