Thanks for the video. I just bought TD R10 dual band and it comes as a one receiver. So maybe back then when you made the video there you bought the rx made for drones. Also, for range , the FRsky was tested and showed a range of 5.7km on ground, so its range is at least twice that in the air.
Hi, excellent upload. I also prefer soft springs and was wondering if you could share what type of FrSky spring were you using in your Futaba 16SZ? I recently purchased a Futaba 16IZ and the stock springs are too stiff for my taste. If I adjust the spring tension all the way loose, the stick centering feels very mushy and imprecise. Aloft-hobbies carry a lot of FrSky replacement springs but I'm not sure which one to get.
Sir what can you tell me about such a 3 in 1 transmitter? If the control range is more than 60 kilo meters, which supports Pixhawk, I can connect my smartphone to that transmitter and see all the data or camera live on my screen.😶
I have been a FrSky + OpenTX user for over five years in small and large scale airplanes, but for the last 12 months I started encountering some mysterious issues that impacted my confidence somewhat. I've started flying turbines and because of my loss of confidence with FrSky I moved over to Jeti. So far, Jeti has been amazingly rock solid and none of the issues I experienced with FS have reoccurred. I am still using FrSky with my smaller and planes and will try to find out the root cause and solution to the issues that were occurring, but I'm obviously not keen on problem solving with large and expensive airplanes. I am planning to buy a Tandem in the near future, so your video provided great insight on their new-gen radio.
Does the 20 denote twenty channels? I’m pretty sanguine about what people fly. Lots of good stuff to use. I hate the brand fanatics that disparage choices other than theirs. I was a big Airtronics user and it broke my heart when they faded away. All I have left is my vintage Airtronics next strap that I use all the time.
You still liking the Frsky X20S? Do you trust it with your larger models? Looking to upgrade and really really like the looks of this one. Currently running spektrum and radiomaster. Thanks!
I also use FRSKY, but have never used it on fuel planes. I typically use Spektrum on everything fuel for the ease of programming. I curious as to why Futaba will still be your go to transmitter?
Hi, thanks a lot for your video. I am considering buying it: did you test the range in 2.4 GHz only (no 900 mhz) before telemetry is lost and before a signal alert? Any review of the new FrSky TD receivers, e.g for possible interference between frequencies? What is your overall confidence with this radio compared to Futaba in terms of reliability of RF link between Transmitter and receiver? Thanks a lot
@@n1114v Hi, I found a serious a problem with the Tandem receiver TD R10 (2.4 Ghz+900 Mhz): the servos start to jitter / chatter strongly when I install the receiver in the fuselage (analog servos, Hitech and Emax). The issue disappears when I turn off the telemetry or wrap the 900 Mhz antenna with aluminum foil, so the issue should be the 900 Mhz telemetry. Unfortunately it is not possible to turn it off separately from the 2.4 Ghz telemetry! Does anyone know if the normal 2.4Ghz receivers have the same jitter issue?
Hi Andrew, Looks like a nice radio. Beyond my currents means, but I do have a Taranis X9D that I installed the Hall gimbals. And as you say the spring tension is so nice. Looking forward to a flight video of that no-name plane. :-) You and the family stay safe.
I have bought one second hand, as new with 4 receivers, still a lot of money but significantly less than when new. (Not from a total stranger but a voucher for ex-club member)
Hey man, nice video! I just received my X20S and was wondering if you have anymore info on the setup for the 900MHz redundant receiver? Can't find anything in the manuals or on the net about wiring hookups or menu setups. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanx.

@@n1114v I agree the field looks great and I'm sure it's plenty big enough for my 85" Slick. But call me sissy I don't like flying that one alone. The Balsa Bees field is just too remote for my comfort flying alone. Tomorrow I'll probably go up to Saranac. Most often there is someone around.
That is like these people spend $1600 or even $700 on a fucking transmitter and put a $15 receiver in it and then lose their airplane because they don’t wanna spend $85 on a good receiver but they’ll tear up a $600 airplane makes no sense
I love planes like this. I cannot believe hangar 9 discontinued the Pulse, I would love to have one or two.

Didn't know Frsky for a long time! A good remote control. But I like Jeti more.
Hi Andy want your take on Frsky vs spektrum. I think Frsky is the same or like a Jeti transmitter.
Spektrum belongs in the trash can! Frsky is similar to jeti as far as being multi protocols. They utilize the protocols differently though
I agree on horizon hobby-spektrum junk
