Think I'm going to upgrade to that X20 radio. Currently running QX7 and Radiomaster t16s MK1. The Qx7 has been rock solid but the Radiomaster t16s has definitely been hit and miss.
Yeah, Andrew-bro - you're playin' some bangin' techno choonz, there. 🎵Booop, beeep, booop, wakka-wakka... I find programming computer radios a bit depressing. I appreciate the need for it, the usefulness of it, but all that logic breaks my tiny girlie brain. I bought some balsa wood a few days ago. You know - from trees. Mmmm... Beautiful light, rigid, quarter-sawn stuff. It made me happy. Now that I've got a bit of time on my hands I'm going to build something that has nothing to do with techie tosh like buttons and menus, switches and screens, scanners and chemo-schedules and bleeping radiotherapy units. Maybe a free-flight glider. Just for a laugh. A bit of light relief, with an old-school burning-fuse dethermaliser. Analogue aeromodelling therapy, that's the ticket. Feet on the ground, head in the clouds. And no vario sounds. 🙃
I did a video on the TW module and GR6. Seem to be very good but I don't use them regularly. Better range in theory but they are both way more than needed for LOS thermal gliding.
Ottimo bella spiegazione anche se non capisco l'inglese con le sole immagini ci sono riuscito GRAZIE puoi farne uno tutorial con il GPS con la stessa ricevente non riesco a vedere i valori sulla radio
HI ANDREW - LOVE YOUR STUFF - LIKE YOU A SLOPE SOARER - YOU HAVE WHAT LOOKS LIKE AN AMAZING SLOPE LOOKING OUT TO SEE - I AM ON THE SOUTH DOWNS IN ENGLAND - SO QUESTION - IS THE TANDEM A HUGE LEAP ON OPENTX RADIOS - OPEN / EDGE SEEMS TO BE FALLING BEHIND - AND HAVEING A GOOD RADIO IS SO IMPORTANT TO YOUR CONFIDENCE IN FLYING - ESPECIALLY WITH FLYING EXPENSIVE MOULDED GLIDERS - SO STAY WITH OPEN / EDGE OR MORE TO ETHOS - CATCH YOU LATER - TAKE CARE - HAPPY FLYING - DAVID
I am a beginner on Tandem 20 - your help was "powerful"
Glad to help Norberto
@@AndrewNewton you are the guy
Concise and to the point. Good video and thanks, that the voice callouts are in the "Special functions" menu was what I was looking for.

Ah, just what we need. The dulcet tones of Mr Newton drowned out by the yowling of the local kids' video arcade! 😜😂😂
Thanks for share 😎🤙. I'm Always with futaba, and now with the x20 is a complete new way system
Hey James. Can I ask was your throttle reversed with Futaba compared to other systems?
Fantastic!
very very nice your explanations, congratulations!!!
Very informative videos Andrew. Have you tried any of the TW GR8 Rx and if so what are your thoughts if them compared to the Archer Rx with vario?

Thanks. GPS on the Tandem might be a good video subject.

Much better quality radio hardware, and Ethos is basically OpenTX / EdgeTX with a grahpical skin. Look at the Tandem X18
💕👍
