@The RC Air Marshall Can you help me decide between the 18SE and the 20S. Price difference is negligible, but I feel the 20S is a bit uncomfortable. The square grips felt uncomfortable. Have not tried the 18SE but guessing it's more comfortable to hold. Not sure what to do
Great initial video thanks. I would love to see a video on telemetry setting up especially to a lipo mAh used sensor that's such an important telemetry feature for electric planes IMO. Also I hold my index fingers around the top of the TX and wondered whether you could actually do this? Without the side sliders/switches being in the way? Currently on Spektrum NX10 which is really good with Realflight 9.5 because of the Game Controller Mode...does this have that ability from the USB port? Also can you use the Scrollwheel to physically fine tune/dial mixes in while flying?
@David Hall - Thanks for the suggestions! I'll need to get my hands on the current sensor telemetry module to check out before I can do any videos on that, but that would be a great one. With regard to the placement of your index fingers... The contours of the X20S are not quite as inviting to resting your index fingers on the shoulders like a Spektrum transmitter is, so it would take some getting used to, but I don't think it would take much to develop that muscle memory. It's not uncomfortable, just different. I'm not aware of a way to use the click wheel as a trim fine tuning input, but you can change the resolution of the trim switches where a single click gives you more or less movement as desired. The X20S does indeed have a Joystick mode that works as a Windows Game Controller when plugged into your PC using a USB C cable. Hope that answers everything, and I'll put some of these ideas in the queue for future videos! Thanks for watching, and for the great feedback and questions!
@@TheRCAirMarshall Thanks for your quick reply and answers to my query s much appreciated. They look like a fabulous Tx especially with the machined Gimbals and colour touch screen... It's great that Frsky has incorporated the Game Controller Mode I'll have to try to hold the TX at some point. And yes Spektrum tx definitely makes it easy for your index fingers to comfortably rest around the top. 👍
It sounds almost too good. The NX8's features cant hold a candle to that. I'd like to see how the multi-protocol module works. I cant even figure out what its called on the Amain and FrSky's pages. I like the dual frequency redundancy, and sockets for external antennas. I have a massive LOS flying space and I sure would love to stop worrying about tx range. Also, I saw the X20SHD transmitter, with the built in FPV video screen. How cool is that?
The Multi Protocol Module is the iRangeX IRX4 Lite. There's not a ton of places to pick them up in the US just yet, but they are readily available on Banggood.

As a new owner of a FRSKY 20 RS, it's a LOT different than my Spektrum TX. This video was extremely helpful in the transition.
Real nice indeed, now Maison is going to want one.
It’s pretty affordable, click the link in the description! 😁
Great job Dave
Nice review on this radio,
Lots of ppl focusing on RM only and not considering all the options
Happy flights ✈️

👍
can use with ELRS module ?
Very very impressive radio, let me tell you. Now I see my Spektrum NX10 like a cheap overpriced Tx unfortunately
