Icon Excavator - new feature

The version 8 update for Icon brought loads of new features across the board for off machine solutions such as rovers and total stations...
Here’s a couple of my favourite new features for Icon Excavator.
The ‘trench creation’ tool is really handy… and not just for trenches.
It’s a template feature that allows you to draw the profile of what you want to dig or build, and apply that either directly to a polyline, or at an offset from one.
Here we sketch out a footway, but it could be a road with a crown, a batter, a swale… you name it.
I could use this finished surface to install utilities to the correct depths before the footway or road is even constructed, by simply offsetting down for each… 👍
