I have a problem with lack of the lights in buttons around the touchscreen. When I turn the headlights on buttons around the climate control as well as the ones on the steering wheel just flash shortly and go off. Is it a kind of fuse issue or something else? It's a 04 stype V8. Thanks.

Actually I did but its kind of confusing for me and I want it so much, I have the exact same jaguar ): . And also I need help for the backup camera wiring, I already installed the camera but the problem is when I want to find the Positive from the taillight connection is showing me all the wires are positive even on the R Position and I think that because the lights connection between each other, is there another way to get clear positive from the R Position ? Thank you very much
Hi Anwer, I do understand your confusion. On Jaguar electronics the lighting does have a positive feed on both terminals of lighting equipment when the lights are off. When lights are switched on one of the input terminals changes to a negative feed by either the REM (Rear Electronics Module) or the FEM (Front Electronics Module). You need to familiarise yourself with how these modules work and how they connect through various relay circuits before attempting the DRL conversion. You will have to use relays to manage the - + switching. The download link below is for the S Type 2005MY Electrical circuits. This will help in conjunction with my DRL documents. drive.google.com/open?id=1NO2o5EkeLmzxqLOzhRteE2xVdVHGCHua Cheers Brian

Brilliant video and instructions! Did exactly as you did and love them however two weeks after install the drl's only come on after driving for a while. I've checked and double checked all connections and even replaced the relays but no difference, wandering if something to do with the little circuit board in the LED's themselves, any idea?? Just love them!!
Hi Aaron, If you have checked all connections and replaced the relays it would seem to point towards the "switchback" LED circuit boards. However if both DRLs come on at the same time after a delay it would be quite a coincidence that both circuit boards are faulty and respond in the same way and at the same time - if you see what I mean. This makes me suspect that it may be a common link for the DRLs which would be the DRL relay. Are you using Mini relays with integral resistors? Where are you taking the 12v +ve from that feeds the DRL relay? Have you tried disabling one of the "switchback" LEDs to see if it does the same thing?
Jag TV yes makes sense, I'm using the mini relays you used and taken 12v +ve off of f38 in the relay box . Just tried unplugging one drl and the other did not turn on. Although done some poking about and believe it was something to do with the piggyback fuse... it seems to be all working now
Ok Aaron - Just for clarification - did you use a 5 pin changeover relay for the DRL control - i.e. one with terminals 85(2), 86(1), 87(5), 87a(4) and 30(3). Is 12v connected to relay pin 87a from fuse position F38 and is relay pin 30 providing the switched 12v feed simultaneously to both DRL circuits on the "switchback" LEDs. If yes is the answer to these questions then you need to check the 12v feed to pin 87a and the 12v output from pin 30. With the ignition turned on 12v should be present at both pin 87a and pin 30. If 12v is only present at pin 87a and not at pin 30 then there is a fault with the relay switching contact/mechanism. If however 12v is present at both pins then the problem would curiously point to both DRL circuits in the lamps. Hope this makes sense. Let me know how you get on. One final question - are you using exactly the same LED lamps as I did?
Excellent result - and that would make sense - an intermittent connection . Thanks for watching Aaron and glad you found the DRL conversion instructions informative. Cheers Brian aka "The Old Man" JagTV

Hi, my dad loved the original Jaguar S (1964), so he ended up buying a 2001 S Type. He loved the S Type, it was his little girl, but more or less four year ago he was diagnosed with cancer and stoped using the car, sadly my dad passed away last month. I'm planing on buying the car from my mom, restoring it and keep it (till the end he didn't want to sell the car and i Don't want other person to buy it). The little problem is that i live in the Dominican Republic and i will have to import some parts to get it done, this will be the problem. I will love to add this LED DRL to the car but this will be a problem as i'm not an electrician and the guy that i know that can probably do this doesn't know how to read the printable instructions lol. isn't there a way that you can make a video about how to do this? Other thing, i have seen some one ask 4 years ago to see a rear upgrade of the car, you reply that it was on the to do list. what is this upgrade? did you managed to do the upgrade? can't find that video. Keep up the good work. Eric Brugal from the Dominican Republic
Hi Eric - Sorry to hear of your family's loss and wish you every success with the restoration of your Father's S Type. I'm pleased that you found the video of interest but I'm afraid that to make a video of the LED DRL conversion would be prohibitively time consuming and costly. I do hope you understand and that you eventually find someone to help you with it. Kind regards Brian
