You are the first people I've seen to use this and actually create a 'bubble' for all the dirt to travel/ get caught. The amount of people just blasting into their completely open workshop onto everything is beyond hilarious. Kudos to you guys! Looks mega as well!

Phil says, "I'm being a bit particular." Noooo, who would expect that lol. I'm seeing an explosion of this dry ice blasting. It's absolutely incredible how it makes most everything clean up. You still have to finish with brushes and cleaners. Can't beat it.

Dry ice blasting is great! But be aware that it does not only remove grime but also removes the original wax that was applied in the factory. Thats why the disc guards turn out so nice as well a the aluminum bits. Loving the upgrades you have made to this car so far, the end result will be absolutely epic!

BOC/Triventek also produced something similar a few years back. Terribly inefficient and the Ram/chamber (used to turn liquid CO2 into dry ice) was a nightmare with constant seizures. I’ve heard that Karcher has the same issues. Also wouldn’t be cost effective unless hooked up to a 100 ton liquid CO2 tank. Using small liquid CO2 canisters will end up costing around £4-£5 per kg!!

The media is dry ice - carbon dioxide in solid form, there's no water in it, big difference to "normal" ice.
Also, it goes straight from solid to gas (sublimation) so it leaves no residues behind.

How much did it cost for the full dry ice blasting?

Most important question is what did you use to recoat it all?

This was my concern too. Whilst the orange/brown gunk is unsightly, I'm led to believe that it is Coraline, which is intended to protect from corrosion. Suspension looks beautiful though.

It would be interesting to learn how much weight the car lost as a result of the cleaning. Very impressive, I am now looking for an affordable Dry Ice cleaning machine in the US. Thank you.

It was a very thin layer of old dirt across the car, so I'd imagine probably only around 1kg. But it makes it less likely to corrode and looks super fresh
