Thanks so much Miss Estruch!! I was struggling so much with these exercises and now I got them all right!! I would just pause the video, try and do it myself (Your explanations are brilliant) and got them all at once!
Im in year 12 and was just wondering the exam questions on each topic and the different skills exam questions on your website, whens the best time to do them? In year 13 or anytime
I'd suggest doing the topic based booklets when you learn the topic for consolidation ( eg the heart booklet) but do the unit assessment booklets as revision for mocks and final exams. You could try completing them multiple times. I'd say start before y13 as it's important you spend time on improving your exam technique skills before y13. Hope that helps ☺
I dont understand how you'd do the divisions in standard form (first section) :( do you use a calculator? What do you even type in the calculator, so confusing ! Dont really understand how youd make it into a percentage either
Thank you so much for making all of these videos, I've been going through unit 1 - 4 for mocks and I'm now feeling much more confident about exams :-)
Hi Lucy,
So pleased they are helping you with your understanding and also confidence !
Best of luck for your mock exams 😊

Hi for question 4 i dont understand how 20nm is 0.00,0000,0002m and not 0.0000,0002m. why is there an extra 0? thank you
yh I thought that too isn't it supposed to be 20(nm)/100,000,000,0 which equals to 0.00000002(m)
Hi Miss, in the first question, I do not get the same exact answer as yours, so I am confused
how do we calculate percentage difference between two values
thank you!!!
you're welcome 😊 I hope you found it helpful

Is this for Edexcel board
It's for AQA, but maths skills will be similar across the board

Yes you use a calculator, you should always use a calculator in alevel bio
You type the standard form itself, use a scientific calculator
can you please add statistics tests thank you 😁
ah yes, that is a good shout. I'll see if I can do a separate statistics walk-through
@@MissEstruchBiology thanksss - my bio mock is May 7th!
You are an incredible woman
thanks! Good luck
Can you please explain the conversion of cm to dm? I thought that 1dm=10cm? Therefore 180cm is 18dm? What am I missing?
Hey,
Great question. That would be correct for cm --> dm but the units were cm3 --> dm3 so you divide by 1000
Hope that helps
@@MissEstruchBiology thank you

I dont even kno my basic times tables.
😆 good job you are allowed a calculator in the exam then
