    Looks yummy!! I would rather steam the ribs, and the sauce from it, that I will used for the peanuts mixture. But your style is very okay. Thanks for sharing.

    I just started out on my journey cooking the Liberian way! I enjoy all the new recipes that I'm coming across, these ribs look absolutely wonderful! I can't wait to try them! I don't understand the concept of the peanut butter what are you using that for a thickening or the flavor?

    • @SoeFoods

      Yay good to know you're interested in Liberian cuisine. The peanut butter is just our way of making it kinda like bbq sauce in American ribs, it's just a form of different flavor

    When exploring you find answers to questions what type off peanut butter was that?

    • @SoeFoods
      @SoeFoods  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The regular creamy jif peanut butter

  • @agentpaper254
    @agentpaper254 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    So I'm assuming the purpose of adding peanut butter, is to bring some sweetness to the sauce. But do you taste the peanut butter flavor it self, at all? I ask because I very interested in making this, but I'm not a big fan of peanut butter.

    • @SoeFoods
      @SoeFoods  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Agent Paper yes you do taste the peanut butter, but you can either omit it or just add a lil bit of it

      I hate the taste of peanut butter but I love peanut butter ribs. It doesn't taste like peanut butter to me. My mother would make these for me as a child and I had absolutely no idea peanut butter was in them. I think you should make the receipe as directed and if you taste peanut butter in them, omit it the next time.

      @@SoeFoods Next time please use beef short ribs and make your sauce with less seasoning. They cause heart disease and high blood pressure. Use Roma tomatoes, onions, paprika, brown sugar.

    You should say that’s how you make your ribs not the liberian way because there is not one way to make ribs. It’s better to say I am a Liberian and this is how I make my ribs. Don’t forget to tell your viewers that the peanut butter should be optional because some people are allergic to peanuts. In a nutshell this is how you make your ribs as a Liberian not that this is the Liberian way to make ribs.

    • @Ninofalls
      @Ninofalls 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I've only ever seen liberians use peanut butter for ribs. This is definitely the Liberian way. The peanut butter adds a special texture/flavor to the ribs. Without it, it's not Liberian ribs.

    • @MakMan4
      @MakMan4 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Rock W I am a Liberian and I have never seen my aunt, mother and grandma put peanut butter on any ribs I’ve had. Maybe we are from different parts of Liberia. I am not disputing that some Liberians put peanut butter on ribs but I assure you it is not the only way ribs are made by Liberians. Sometimes people are stuck on one recipe and thinks that’s how everybody makes it. Not the case with most African dish.

    • @sarahcollins1380
      @sarahcollins1380 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It’s still the Liberian way. Just say you don’t eat peanut butter. But all Liberian cook TH-camr do almost this same thing. Tell your family to open their own channel to show us how they can make ribs without peanut butter. Simple.
