Victoria Akins , she used torborgee oil but you can use red palm oil as well if you can’t get the torborgee oil but should read on the bottle”torborgee oil,” torborgee oil is use in any torborgee soups. Half of the non blended beans was also added to her soup pot. Hope this helps.

It is an acquired, tribal, taste that most Liberians enjoy. Baking soda is used in the West, but in Africa they use a "country soda" which kinda looks like dirty crack cocaine. 😁
I got the Beans from the African Store. I don't know the real name for it, but it's really small, the only name I saw on it, was Liberian toborgee beans. If you can't find this, you can use any brown beans. Sometimes I use kidney beans.

Soda add that toborgee flavor. If you can't kind the real toborgee Soda, use a little bit of Bicarbonate of Soda.

FYI, add maggi or bouillon. At any time, doesn't matter. That's what I'm doing.

It's smaller than regular red beans. I got it from the African store. It said Liberian toborgee beans on it.
