As an avid fly assassin I can 100% recommend the Bug-a-Salt 3.0 over the Bug-a-Salt 2.0. The lethal range is much better and the safety mechanism is MUCH better. It allows for rapid firing instead of resetting safety on every shot. We have a turkey farm fairly close by and have frequent invasions from aerial terrorists.
Since upgrading to the 3.0, my status has been transformed from average sniper to a true one man assault division capable of genocide. After every fly hunt I feel compelled to pray and ask forgiveness for the incredible loss of life that I and the engineers of the 3.0 are responsible for. The glee I feel watching flies fall to the ground from mid-air flak attack should feel wrong somehow but I only feel giddy.
I sincerely hope my humanity and respect for life isn’t permanently destroyed by warfare with this tough and relentless enemy. I do not feel the negative effects of PTSD, thankfully. I’ll update you if changes to my sanity occurs.
Most undarated comment of 2023)
Bro, you’re preaching to the choir. Your sins are forgiven.
Best sales pitch ever. I now know I need one. Do you use the optional laser
@@stolimano3723 no, with a little practice aiming isn’t even necessary. It’s like a sawed off shotgun with spread. The pointer isn’t really needed
vids or it didn't happen
Don't question the BUG-A-SALT. It takes out full-size New York cockroaches at close range. Not for the squeamish. Also takes out mosquitos, but this is where your shooting skills will be tested. Basically if it flies (short of bald eagles) bug-a-salt takes it down.
"If it flies, it dies" is the motto of the air defense artillery - sounds like that could be co-opted here.
That's what I wanted to know if it would take out a cockroach or cuntroach .
"Winner winner, chicken dinner." Then proceeds to load the gun and hands it over pointed at his colleague's face.
So what? Regardless of what anybody might say, it _ISN'T_ going to take your eye out..
My family got me the one with a laser sight for fathers day. I love it!
is it accurate with the laser becuase mine sucks and is not accurate at all
@@Samson-dn4eo , you have to tune it to the distance you are attacking from. But yeah, so far, it's pretty accurate if you use the vertical and horizontal screws on the sight to tweak it.
I lived in the country for a while with a buddy and his wife and a bunch of flies started multiplying under the house and we had a huge problem with them. We each got one of these and THEY WORK WONDERFULLY. We won the great fly war of 2020 handily, these are totally worth the money and fun too.
Quite the A-Salt-Rifle, eh?
Underrated comment right here.
Sorry canadians trudeau put this on the ban list and is now prohibated
@@MattyCakez18 😄 🤣 😂 😆
This is one of the greatest pieces of Kit I have ever purchased. Period.
I love this thing. Everyone in my family has them. They bring them when we go camping so I've known about them for a long time. Resisted the $50 price tag for a long time. This last summer I had sooo many flies in my house they were pissing me off and the fly swatter wasn't taking care of them quick enough. It's also messy and you don't know where the smashed flies will land. With the Bug Assault I can confidently shoot a fly in my kitchen, while I'm cooking, knowing what way the fly will go based on shooting it, rather than smashing it into pieces that go everywhere. It's a lot more fun than a fly swatter too. Believe me, you want this!
Windex
I hope the reporter enjoyed this assignment. Thanks for the review
This is actually a great segment. Im not sure ive ever seen a local news station do reviews like this. Seems great for older people who don't watch youtube much
I am no spring chicken and rate this vid as one of the best "gun" videos ever! But a person 1 day older than me is an old coot!
@@l.a.raustadt518 I get that! I'm a young man but anybody born after is a kid 😜
Oh it works! Got one of these as a gag gift for Christmas along with the laser sight. First time using it was on a spider on the kitchen ceiling and it was one shot one kill. The spider was there, and then he wasn't. Found it all curled up and dead in the kitchen sink. I keep this gun close all the time now. It's going to be very hard leaving a few flies alive this summer for the cats because they love hunting them too.
I don't know! I kinda like spiders!! We both kill flies. I don't think this is cool bro! I feel like we can't be friends muchacho
@@michaelmoran2059 I'm genuinely sorry for taking out your preferred bug, but I did at one time give them a chance and left them alone I ended up with so many spiders in my house that it was really out of hand. And I don't want them crawling on my face as I sleep. But I am open to more humane suggestions.
@@magnusatheos7301 I think there is a statistic where, should you sleep with your mouth open, you eat on average 4 spiders a year. You won't wake up hungry and a good source of protein.
Yes, the new ones work. We live in a rural area and are surrounded by cow and horse farms, so flies are always an issue. We've tried sprays, foggers, baits, UV lights+zappers, fly paper, and maybe get a few flies. The kids just love grabbing the Bug-A-Salt and just clearing the house in minutes of every fly. Just keep the salt dry, reload it completely when it is humid, and it will last. Our 3.0 has been used hundreds of times, still works like a charm.
It also brings out the flavor of the bugs when you eat them.
I LOVE mine. Had one for about 3 years. Really comes in handy, especially when dealing with more creepier bugs and also horseflies.
I have one as well and I love using it!!! I mostly use it on wasp and roaches and works like a charm just remember to maintain it and dont leave it cocked when you’re not using it
leave it cocked or do NOT leave it cocked you mean?
@@stefdrummer8390 leaving it cocked will wear out the spring much faster so no
Any tips for maintaining it?
My wife used to make me uncock it in case our toddler picked it up. Our Bug-a-salt was, however, too long for her to have managed anything but shoot her toe and I've tested it on my hand from a half inch distance and it can't hurt humans.
get rid of the roaches
The gray and black "increased power" one is definitely lethal against all typical bugs you see inside. I haven't encountered one i couldn't kill with it yet.
Best invention ever made, makes you feel like a God
The big question remains: Will it work in Australia? 😂
the “bug” question
ya, you just have to turn it upside down
Not on roos !🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘
You'll need the Widow Maker version for Australia.
Yes. Had if for a year and it's awesome.
I have one of these, the 1.0 and I love it even though I have to reset after each shot. Great for the patio!
I’ve shredded some pretty huge nasty spiders with the original model. Works really well!
I hope.. I am waiting they will appear 😅
I highly recommend this company. I have three of these guns and a shredder.
The Pros. Fun to use and they actually work great. Satisfying to use. Effective on many insects.
The cons. No replacement parts available.
Best $50 I've spent! The couple times a year we get some flies/gnats, I usually chase them around with that electric tennis racket zapping them (also works well lol!) but this is even more fun, way less running around, and very accurate!
Thank you! Seeing the range was exactly what I wanted to know 😆
lmao if stuff like this was on the news more often I would actually watch it. I can tell these guys had fun making this. This is going in my SHTF kit!
Works great and a lot of fun!!! I have had mine for three years and still kick'n.
I have the 2.0 version and it works great. So much fun too!
Get the laser sight accessory, you'll be glad you did!
lmao if stuff like this was on the news more often I would actually watch it. I can tell these guys had fun making this
I’ve had my black fly edition for over 2 years with the laser. No problems but spiders are hard to kill and I’ve made a few brown recluses mad. I recommend corse sea salt.
I got one for my Son in Law and he loves it
I love us people. For someone to invent this is epic
It's great for spiders and flys and is a lot of fun
Probably the best use for Dinty Moore beef stew.
I’m so glad they “ like bug o salt “
Ordered the camouflage model today!
I have the revolver style one with the salt carts and love it.
Look at that gun handing, pointing the barrel at the guy? An eye full of salt at a decent speed may not feel too good.
01:07
LMAO
I love my Bug Assault. If you practice you can shoot accurately without using the sights at all. ...and it doesn't smear bug juice all over the place
These work really well
Schit gathers flies, so using dinty Moore beef stew was a brilliant idea.
if you shoot indoors then you have to clean up all that salt.. so it's good mostly for outdoors.
So much Fun !! Really good for Spiders that are out of reach 💪🏻💪🏻
Can't really use it inside though unless you want to clean up salt out of carpets
I had one of these guns it got me arrested for
A - salt ha ha😂
Jokes on you, now you got salt everywhere!
"Say hello to my little friend!"
I feel like this should be in every vault dwellers armoury !
I have been using one for years and it has killed many creepy crawlers.
if used indoor, Is it troublesome to clean up? I read it shoots a small bit of salt, but the salt is still gonna stay around the house floor, perhaps unable to see where it spreads. and attract insects who consume salt.
I need this in my life.
Update: I bought this thing and it changed my life.
It is Summer, and I am on a killing spreeee 👹
Cool, I have one on order because of all the rave reviews
1:08 fail never hand your firearm to someone with the barrel facing directly at them
I use pretzel salt it's like bird shot much better range
Pretty expensive alternative to opening a window 😂
Opening a window is a fools errand. You'll let in 100 or more flies while you wait for the one in the house to fly out of that open window!
Finally some real news!
"Come into my house will ya?"
Peta going to hate ya'll when they see this video lol
I want one!
Can it kill hornets or is it too weak for that?
Why is no one commenting on the salt that is all over the house now?
vacuum lol
it really does put out that much salt
Good name for the device.
if you live in any kind of humidity, it renders the bug-a-salt useless. Got to keep it inside with the AC running.
Who's cleaning up all the salt afterwards? 😂
Right! I haven't seen a concern for the spilt salt yet!
I have had my Bug-A-Salt for at least 6 years. It works great. Wasps, mosquitoes, all kind of flying Insects and spiders. Totally wipes them out without leaving bug guts on your walls. Also it is a lot of fun. My wife even likes to use it. 👍
Well I guess that's one way to get you to eat bugs, put a little salt on them.
My question is what do you do with all the salt? It must get everywhere
There's also the salt a salt, it's this long stick with a bunch of bristles on the end that's great for pushing little bits of salt and dirt together for easy collection.
@@SJNaka101 that would work wonders if all the salt actually fell on the floor. I reality I see bits of salt falling all over the place
Finally, an assalt rifle
I've got a 3.0 and it smokes anything I shoot.
Question, who want's salt lying around in the house?
I own one. Salt and fine pepper works also for Steaks. Great Product for a psychopath. Better than my Ar-15
Who TF wants to shoot salt all over their home 😂
you pant on giving 3 flies 10 shots each? lol
Those targets looked like new york city rats 🐀 not flies 😂😂
Works for ghosts too
Give a man in a suit a salt gun and he's a kid again
...so who has to clean up all the salt left around the kitchen after ?
Without a doubt the best $50 ive ever spent !!!!
Works great!!
Seems like it will make mess in the house
Works great in Flys. I have it for 4 years now and still works great. Caution... I used my bugasalt last years on a hornets nest out side of the house. One time only. Had to run real fast. I don't recommend doing that. 😮😮😮
Yes it works I have 1 for the boat and 1 for the deck
It should be called An A-Salt Rifle.
So each time you kill a fly you have to clean up a bunch of salt?
No. Your dog or cat will do that :)
@@featsofdice6712 I have a Phasmatodea..
@@featsofdice6712or pet cow
@@jvidr my monkey does it
Yeah with rock salt
Huge downside, after a few hunts, your floor starts crunching and after a weekend, the salt is even inside your butt crack from the furniture you shot at. Nice for outside, but that's it.
Yeah the bug-a-salt works but the problem with the bug-a-salt is all the salt!
This thing has lawsuit written all over it lol
And its great if you wanna put salt on your food from across the kitchen 😮
Does it work on mice?
Why would you spray salt around your house
I need a thermal scope
video was filmed 1 year ago... looks like it's from 1999
Just killed my neighbors cat with it
He pointed a loaded gun right at the next guy what a newbie...
Awesome
I love mines
Can it take out a full-size Louisiana Cockroach?
You just can't waste good Dinty Moore Beef Stew like that!
I just got the same look every other guy got from their wife.
it kills cockroaches with 1 shot when loaded with sea salt at 3ft
Salt clean-up for one fly sounds like more trouble than it's worth. I'll stick to my 6-shot rubberband gun, with fat rubberbands.
Love mine but don't shoot in your cook shed if you have cast iron skillets on the wall 😢 had to reseason them 😂otherwise works great 👍🇺🇸👮♂️😁
