Was using a 9mm handgun before I had this product. Now the police don’t have to show up anytime I see a spider or a sky raisin! Thanks Bug-a-salt team!!
You guys have brought an awesome, useful, and unique product to the market. Before I got a bug-a-salt, I was using a .50 muzzleloader with only a primer and some cornmeal. It worked great, but it embeds cornmeal into drywall, and turns insects into a moist stain. My wife is MUCH happier with me now that i got one of these. Seriously though, if you're reading this comment, and have any interest at all in shooting, you should get a bug-a-salt.
Just bought one for 50 bucks. Totally worth it. Thanks, bud. Edit: Ive never shot a firearm but incapacitating wasps is pretty easy for having zero experience. Im sure my aim will sharpen but for now Ive trimmed down the wasps going for my pet food. I just throw the food out when im done. Seriously worth it though. Im cranking through wasps right now 😂
I had the original Bug A Salt 1.0. After a few years, the cap for the salt broke off so I taped it. Then it jammed up. Couldn't rack it. Wouldn't take salt. Tried to flush the thing, but didn't work and gave up. Picked up 3.0 black fly edition yesterday and HUGE improvement. Better salt cap, more powerful shots, better grip, and I LOVE that I don't have to hit the safety every damn time to shoot. I shot 50+ flies and roaches yesterday. Fun fun fun
Grabbed the Realtree3 just over a month ago, very happy. High humidity here but no issue with salt jams yet. Congrats on an amazing product and good luck for the future
I used the cleaning instructions @3:55 and the gun starting working effectively again , but after a few days, no salt coming out again and no bugs getting killed. Isn't there an acceptable alternative to using salt in humid areas? This is exactly what I was afraid of when I bought the gun. I've used it to kill hundreds of bugs, especially spiders in my house, but now it's becoming more trouble than it's worth if I have to clean it every few days. Some say cayenne pepper works well without clogging.
I love these guns. However I have 2 issues. The first is what you charge for salt is outrageous....the second is, I just bought the Shred-er. I love the power of the co2 propellant, but no where on your website does it say that you can't leave the C02 cylinder in the gun more that 24 hours or you make brake the gun. Why is this not clearly stated on your website before purchasing? When you remove it from the gun the cylinder empties and you have to load a fresh one in the gun to use it again. This could get expensive with a quickness. Those packs of 5 C02 cylinders are not cheap, and using them like this, you'll be going through much $$$ in just propellant. I have several c02 powered bb and pellet guns that don't require this. Is this just how the gun is designed? If so you need to clearly state this for people to see before buying it. I'm not returning the one I recently bought, but I wouldn't have bought it had I known before hand.
How come u guys didn't reply to my comment? There are so many awesome additional add ons u could put on this gun, and I have a ton of ideas I want to pitch to you.
Have had my 3.0 for a couple years now. Also bought one for each of my kids since they all have pets in the house. My son-in-law sends me videos of him taking out various bugs. I taught my granddaughter to rack it and yell out, "Ok, who wants some?" hehe
Thanks for the info about moisture. Here by the beach my salt got all caked up and I wondered how to clean out the magazine. I'll gie it a flush with some water since I have it all cleaned of sticky salt. BTW I need some higher powered ammo for the YellowJacket wasps. Those are some tough guys that seem to like the salt massage!??!
i really wish i could load Fine grit play sand in the gun. Table Salt in extremely humid environments like Gulf Coast Texas tends to really chew up the insides of these guns and makes them stop working pretty quick. The sand also really likes to cake together as opposed to what sand does. i'd also much rather use fine sand in my garden as opposed to salt.
Lol I was gifted one of these bad boys for Christmas to handle spiders. I'm an arachnophobe so being able to shoot at two-three feet away from them is cathartic.
I've got mine a few days ago and I must say it's awesome - that was exactly what was missing in my life and I didn't know it. Can you make a special edition out of metal? hahaha I would buy it. But beside that a pica tinnyrail would be awesome. I know it's silly but I would really, really like to have a red dot on this :). Who does put a red dot on a shotgun?
I got one for my grandfather to use to have a little more entertainment rather than using Raid, etc. Anyway, it's a little too difficult for him to pump between shots. Does anybody have any advice that I can use to help him out?
Hi, I'm afraid of house centipedes and use this regularly. The 3.0 variety is extremely effective against house centipedes at range, even the old 2.0 models were very good. They get totally ripped to shreds.
I ordered the Shred-Er kit for use against carpenter Bees and wasps....It has done a fantastic job Though I would like to say there can be improvements made to increase it's effectiveness. I would like to contact the CEO and address a few things for an improved Shred-Er design and possibly a future model to be offered that would be an even better flying insect solution.
If the inventor admits his own brand of salt is larger grain, then there shouldn't be any problem using epsom salt. I don't want any salt at all in the garden soil. Epsom would be harmless, but so would sand. I also want one that will scar the shit out of the neighbor cat, but I won't be able to get a shot any closer than 20 feet.
A sticker on top of the Bug-A-Salt says "USE EYE PROTECTION WHILE OPERATING", but I guess you don't really have to because the guy in the video doesn''t. Evidently more concerned with trying to be funny and just forgot.
I'm not sure this is 100% legal to own without a gun license of some description, it seems this business model is skirting the law for the time being with the paintball act 2018
This is a work. The item doesn't work. It's a joke gun. This is a prank. The reviews are fake. The video is literally a skit. The bug laser gun causes cancer in California. Buyer beware😜
this product is very much real and works great for me. it makes what used to be an annoyance turn into a fun competition of who can shoot more bugs also idk what bug laser you're talking about but everything causes cancer in California lol
I’ve had mine (3.0) for about an hour 😂. It’s windy so not to many bugs right now but I did get a few. Great way to use up any old salt that’s good & dry. 🪰🦗🕷️
Was using a 9mm handgun before I had this product. Now the police don’t have to show up anytime I see a spider or a sky raisin! Thanks Bug-a-salt team!!
Got it years ago. Everybody loved it in the barracks here in Germany

Thanks for the love!
I got mine yesterday and managed to shoot a super fast fly out of the air at 1.5meters. Did take me a followupshot tough. I love it.
I love that Jonathan Wayne Freeman. He's the best.
What about use alcohol to flush it. It’s a liquid and dries out pretty thoroughly.
Just bought one for 50 bucks. Totally worth it. Thanks, bud.

50? Do you live in a dumpster or something?
This is one of the best how-to product videos I’ve ever seen.
You guys are awesome. Should be blowing up right now

Can you use compressed air like computer duster to clean it out? Seems more efficient.
Why does something that only shoots a few grains of salt a few feet have to be SO big??? Is there a pistol size model?
Yes, there's a revolver edition
so they can put a powerful enough spring in it
I love this toy, my favorite purchase of the year :)

Never knew I needed one, but damn I really reeeally need one of these

These are $90 in New Zealand, getting popular after Christmas. Now I want 1!
What's the solution for the lid to open when you shoot? I have to hold it now otherwise the salt gets out.
Did have a lot of fun with it though.
So i just bought one and its awseome but I wish there were more attachments that you could add on such as an adjustable stock

Glad you enjoyed it!

Aussie here buying it in prep for summer next year it's currently winter, but the summer is dreadfull with flies.
Thinkin of buying 1, is it worth ir?

This is so awesome lmfao genius idea! I would actually want flys in my house if i had this
Can you make a California compliant one please?
Here after joe Rogan

That dog looks like he's ready for some burgers. Greatest smoke session ever! 😂
Hi can I get parts for this I need black rubber seal .
Nice and informative video. I own two rifles and one of the revolves. Cool products.
Does it work on yellow jackets?
Love my black fly 3.0... absolutely awesome
How long do they last
Will it damage drywall
no
So, Kosher salt would be ideal?
Don't over complicate it, just go get table salt
These guys really just be cooking up food and leaving it out to attract more targets .. 🤣

Looks like they may be illegal in California. And the 310 area code for the company is in Ca. Ill call tomorrow
Please bring back the Rooster and make it a permanent addition to the inventory. Bug-A-Salt is awesome. Thank you
I got one for my grandfather to use to have a little more entertainment rather than using Raid, etc. Anyway, it's a little too difficult for him to pump between shots. Does anybody have any advice that I can use to help him out?
If you want buck shot as opposed to bird shot, just use kosher salt.
I need this ! Is it real ?
As real as it gets... bugasalt.com!
Does it work on roaches?
Great video. Got mine today. Now I can BBQ in peace while the flies BBQ in pieces.
Happy Hunting!
Adam Savage needs to mod and weather one of these. I myself use a Bugzooka because it doesn't spray salt and insect parts all over my house.
Does this work on spiders i have a big spider problem lol
How does it do vs house centipedes?
Hi, I'm afraid of house centipedes and use this regularly. The 3.0 variety is extremely effective against house centipedes at range, even the old 2.0 models were very good. They get totally ripped to shreds.

Having to remove the C02 cylinder so often can get expensive quickly.
@@Steve.Cutler Not really especially if you're a firearms owner and kinda use any excuse to get in some trigger time
@Pfletch83 that doesn't make it any cheaper
Thanks 👍 Going to be fun this summer. Feeding the flys to spiders so nothing goes to waste. 🙂
Got mine today and in 5min the fun was over! I busted all those black demons too fast :( AMAZING PRODUCT!!!
Pretty cool
Well im getting one now
After I got my 3.0 bug-a-salt, I don't immediately clean up after my dog goes number 2. I leave it out as bait hehehe!
The past few days I was on a fly killing rampage. my barn floor and my porch are littered with dead flies and the chickens are eating them. 🦟🔫🐓
Bet for them it was good eatin"!!! 😊
@@M1GarandMan3005 Yeah but they poop everywhere which draws in more which I shoot more.
Careful man, flies are dirty mfs and known to have parasites
And the flys are salted for taste.
The chickens are being pre salted niceeee
i think i speak for many when i say we'd like an all metal one that's easy to repair.
I use pink rock 🧂
Genius!!!!
PETA wants to know how many bugs were injured during the making of this video?
John Wayne is there? :) well, well, well :))
It’s a great idea but don’t have the range it comes out as dust. I would say Don’t buy until it’s fixed
Flavor your food and kill pests. Killing 2 birds with 1 stone they say
Is this for real or a comedy brand?
We're as real as it gets!
yeah, that's the point...
Funny video 😂.. no wonder why you invented with so many fly's in your mancave. Or did you remove the fly screens on purpose. There's a thought kids

Uh guys when I put the water it went into the gun 😅
The Lazer and shooting is very bent
Maurica!!!
I found a fine grain of sand that works better than salt .
And tequila goes good with the salt
Bug-A-Salt or Salt-A-Bug?
You had to ruina good donut to make this video
Didn’t even show how to load it
It is way too expensive for plastic toy gun.
You should call it fly assault a fly is not a bug
It's for all bugs not just flies though?
A sticker on top of the Bug-A-Salt says "USE EYE PROTECTION WHILE OPERATING", but I guess you don't really have to because the guy in the video doesn''t. Evidently more concerned with trying to be funny and just forgot.

Are you really not even gonna show how you load the darn thing?
