Evening weather forecast for June 19, 2024

After temperatures took a dive Tuesday, today we've seen decent improvement with highs near 80 along the Wasatch Front. We'll remain breezy Thursday and highs continue to climb the ladder for the next several days. Highs will be near 90 tomorrow, low 90s Friday, then mid to upper 90s over the weekend. We're also watching a flash flooding threat in southern and eastern Utah Friday. Moisture from Tropical Storm Alberto is moving into the Four Corners. This will bring a chance for isolated showers and storms in southeastern Utah Thursday afternoon and evening. These storms may produce gusty winds and dry lighting. More moisture moves in Friday, so showers and storms will be more numerous from along and east of I-15 up to the southern Wasatch Front. These storms may produce strong winds and flash flooding in slot canyons and dry washes, so reconsider recreational plans on Friday. - Devan Masciulli, KSL Weather 6.19.24
