Glad I found this channel. I'm an aerospace machinist, so I'm not really working metal by hand, but it's given me an appreciation for the pride and intelligence it must take to create a d shape metal in the old ways.
I'm a motorsports welder fabricator. This reminds me of forming the tanks for Aluminium coolers which I used to make a lot of, and was very good at...but this guys hammer skills are on another level. He's a true craftsman.
Incredible! The way he turned those random beaten marks into regular circles, and then turned them into squares was magical! Beautiful piece of silver work!
His hammer strokes are literally in perfect time. I pulled out a metronome app and 122bpm, 93 bpm, 148bpm, on the ones I compared were *perfectly* on time. That's crazy. Also, he's definitely in a prog band. He's doing 6/8, 5/4, 4/4, 7/8 time signatures too.
Wow! I am speechless. If you've ever tried to hammer metal into a shape, you know that it's not something you just do. It takes many hours of practice to be able to achieve results like this. Impressive that he starts from scratch and hammers it by hand from the start. Thanks for another wonderful Craftsmanship Process video.

Things made with a simple tools that I even can't name using English. It brings back memories. I know you probably treat this just as work, yet you invoke lots of nostalgia, in me. My fellow human beings and our ancestors are / were amazing.
Thank you for artistry requiring the kind of patience and focus that I know i lack.
It is really great. We send our gratitude and respect to our ancestors, who are Japanese, and to all the people around the world who support us.
It’s so beautiful. Hand made quality things like this is worth every penny.
Thank you so much for your comment 😊
His skill is absolutely outstanding 👏 👌

This is an excellent example of patience, skill and loving care.
I love the traditional way
Thank you so much!!!!
😎😉🙂☺😀😄💪👌👏🖒👍🇷🇺🇷🇺🇷🇺🇷🇺🇷🇺🏯🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵
Thank you so much!!!!!

Where can we Purchase this Authentic Silver Cup 🥤?
FASCINATING / AMAZING
I love how you can see every hammer stroke into the metal, such gorgeous work. I could easily see these selling here In America, people will pay top dollar for artisanal handmade items such as these!
I sincerely hope these practices are never lost
This one is $1500 but there’s a similar one for $4500 and it has insanely finer hammering. It probably took 3x as long to make. Check out their $41,000 vase!
Thank you so much for your comment 😊
We are really happy that many people from all over the world interest his work and skill....

When this man was a 10 year old boy, he began his 1st cup. Now, as a grandfather... he's got 6 done. In just 25 years he'll have made all 8 in the set! That's a patient craftsman!
are we just typing random things now?

@@BruceBusby mate I literally saved this comment to show my gf, you remind me of blokes on a uk building site, show em something amazing and they still find a way to make fun, it’s great 👍 I can’t stop laughing
@@officialon1 glad you saw the humour in it! Such great craftsmanship but not above a little ribbing
If only we in the West could support craftsman in the way that this man has received. True discipline and meditation thru observation and feeling.

My family had a jewelry workshop, it was a life time ago... I've seen how lots of things ware made from start to finish using nothing more, then hammers blow torch and anvils of various shape.
Things made with a simple tools that I even can't name using English. It brings back memories. I know you probably treat this just as work, yet you invoke lots of nostalgia, in me. I know that in japan culture you are rather formal and not custom to show fillings yet i really want a hug this guy. You just woke a little kid in me. I was't even aware that anybody make head made revelry those days.
Damn i wasn"t this emotional for years. Thanks.

Goodness Me! The Japanese really do take craftsmanship to the very highest level. I love that this country is so modern and yet still so proud of their heritage and their craftsmanship- and I hope there are young people still doing these sort of jobs. Amazing.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I find that the Japanse Master Craftsmen, and Craftswomen in all Crafts, are so precise in their attention to the Beauty, and Detail of their Works of Art! It is truly a Joy; watching them!! I could never afford to purchase a any of these Works of Art! Knowing that they exist; is comforting to know!! I pray that their way of Creativity will continue, as long as Humankind exist!!! Exquisite!!!
Thank you for your comment! I'm glad you found their craft appealing! Please keep watching our site!
