    I like all the details offered in the booklet , and the one body piece figures with a few glue on option arms look easy to get right into

    Nice review of the Perry AWI British Infantry box, I'll keep them in mind if I build a army in the future

    Looks a nice box of figures and a good flier with the units details.

    They do look good quality , the extra paperwork giving colours for the units is a great bonus as saves a lot of research. The base of the figures look nice and thin to make it easy to blend into the main base when stuck down.

    I live about 30 miles from Lexington and Concord ,where the American Revolution started.My home town, Canton,Massachusetts, was home to Paul Revere's copper rolling mill,which made the copper sheathing for the hull of the U.S.S.Constitution.Also,General John Gridley,the man who designed the defenses on Bunker Hill and Breeds Hill,is buried in Canton.I'll be watching this one.👍

      It all started with a gentleman named....Sam Adams,cousin of John Adams,second president of the U.S.,right here in Boston.My personal opinion...the 2 most overlooked men responsible for the Revolution, are Sam Adam's and Thomas Paine.Sam Adam's made the case for Liberty and Thomas Paine wrote it so that the common man understood what was at stake.

      Charlie, I am contemplating applying on a few positions in Pittsfield. I work a for the Army, but there are several Navy positions for my job code there. My wife's family is on the Cape, and due to some recent events, we may want to get close to folks. I grew up on the Cape, and some of my family tree dates to the Winthrop Fleet, and the founding of Lancaster, MA. Others are more recent arrivals of Irish and English stock. How is the wargaming scene in Mass? I have not lived there in almost thirty years. I enlisted out of Hyannis, at age 17. It would be nice to get to an area with wargamers...

    Good review. I’ve made up and painted some of these, really nice figures. I generally prefer one piece metal minis but these went together fairly quickly. The leaflets that Perry put in their box sets are a great source of info, especially if you want to get painting as quickly as possible without having to trawl through lots of books. Reading about the period is as much a part of the hobby as painting but sometimes you just want to get on with it.

    Very nice un-boxing, this causes me a bit of a problem as I now fancy painting some of these figures myself, so much to do so little time to do it,lol

    I know these guys are supposed to be a bit smaller than GW standard but I wondered how head swaps would look -- thanks for the video as now I know they're molded on! Saved me from having to buy to figure that one out lol

    Well done on the subs mate and thank for the review. You seem to be getting quite a collection of wargaming figs and genres. What rules will you use for these mate?

    • @basicminiaturepainting
      @basicminiaturepainting  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Al Wood's Modelling Mayhem unsure about the rules I've never played the game what would you recommend

    • @alwoodsmodellingmayhem
      @alwoodsmodellingmayhem 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have to be honest I am only just getting back into wargaming. The rules that have got my interest are Black Powder from Warlord Games and this covers from the American War of Independence to the Sudan. What other rule sets do you use with your other figs?

    • @basicminiaturepainting
      @basicminiaturepainting  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Al Wood's Modelling Mayhem I've never played a game playing 40k never interested me but this does my local club plays this so I'll be buying those books and reading up

    It seems no company made a 1:72 scale American Dragoons (American Revolutionary War). Can you suggest a substitute?

  • @MrMinidreams

    From your review are these comparable to gw figures

    • @basicminiaturepainting
      @basicminiaturepainting  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Same size 28mm,only difference is gw stuff is slightly bigger in bulk but same height I think

    • @MrMinidreams
      @MrMinidreams 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I enjoy the gw figures over reaper stuff , and have thought about looking into some bolt action stuff one day

    No complaints from those whiners about " too many parts- too fiddly to build " cause these are Perry but compared to Victrix they have just as many pieces to glue together ?
