  • In this video I show you how I painted my AWI Redcoats. Quick and easy! Plus I go over how to make a movement tray for square bases and do a quick showcase on my British Army so far.

    Just when I need it, this pops up in my recommendations. Just picked up the Warlord "Liberty or Death" box. :)

    Travis Good Job on painting the figures. When I was in a re-enactment unit I got to see the guys in the 63rd Rgt of Foot as well as the 2nd Rgt of the Ct Continental Line. You Might consider adding some Tory figures to your army.

    I used a tin can cut to size with the front bent up using a vice and a small hammer. Then mounted the figured on magnetic tape. That was in the olden days with Hinton Hunt British Napoleonic. About 1970 I think. I should have used wood 😂

    Great video Travis! NWS Online can get you any Perry Miniatures troops that you need by request. That might be your most affordable option for cavalry.

    If you mix a crimson red with a smidge of orange, then you’ll get a closer look to the more correct faded madder red color that the coats of the time were

    This was a pretty informative video...thanks! Your figures I think from the video, look very good...even on the close ups too. The cannon will give your games another layer of "oh shit", to them. The mounted guys will look very cool, especially when you file that large Brit formation. If you're looking to do some cav for this period, you might consider the Napoleonic French Dragoon set. Now, I'm pretty savvy in the Nap stuff, but not sure of the uniforms would be the same for the American Dragoon force. When I watched the T.V. series, "Turn", there were some American dragoons in blue jackets. The uniforms looked awfully close to the French Dragoons. Anyways, if they're pretty close, you should get a box of those guys. I think they're from Perry or Warlord. The cool thing about the box is you get mounted and dismounted figures...really nice. I bought two boxes for my Nap games using SPv2. Oh, very cool on the your trays...simple, but effective. Thanks for posting.

      redmist1122 thanks redmist. I will take a look at the French dragoon’s. If I can find some suitable plastic cav I will get some.

    What are those frames that you use to organize the miniatures in a line?

    • @tabletopcp
      @tabletopcp  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      ASMR withNathan just something movement trays I made up. A flat piece with edges to keep the minis from falling off

    • @nathan2552
      @nathan2552 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tabletop CP did you buy them from somewhere or did you hand make them?

    • @tabletopcp
      @tabletopcp  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      ASMR withNathan I made these. Pretty easy for square based troops. You can buy them already made though. Warbases is one in the UK but there are many companies that make them. You
      Just need to know the size of the bases you have.
