A voice that lifts the soul, shatters glasses and sinks ships

The stones song is from Robert Johnson's Love in Vain Blues and the melody's are heard here as well...they are from the same time period..neither probably wrote the lyrics or the melody

Love in vain is a robert johnson song. Johnson got Love In Vain from this song from an earlier version. Probably Josh White's version from 1935 or Leroy Carr and Scrapper Blackwell's version.

yea but. They didnt hit on much. No offense but-naw - The Stones just never had that realism. NOt a blues band. But dont get me wrong- Keith Richards is a wonderful musician. He can do things acoustically that we never hear with the Stones usual songs. Its kind of sad. He has a spirit and I refuse to deny that. Look it up. He did some solo stuff not so long ago and its PURE blues. He grabbed my attention and I swear he has the real magic. I kid you not. :)

@@stacyblue1980 and i bet if you asked the Rolling Stones personally, they'd say yes, we got the sound for our song from this song. Rolling stones, led zeppelin, and many more during that time copied old blues artists.
