My current every day carry is a Thrunite Saber. Similar size but different UI with a momentary tail switch and only two power levels. Sort of two lights for two missions. Love a 14500/AA compatible light.
mt1a is the first nitecore i've ever owned. 2012, i think. though the original one already went kaput, i bought a second one for my dad, and he's been daily-ing till now for almost 10 years. i did gave him a few other since, but he liked the mt1a the most for its compatibility with AA, which he primarily use it with.
I like it overall use it a lot the AA compatibility is a huge bonus, grab a few batteries and you have extended run times. I like this over the 2 cell version as it's more compact.
No moonlight is a pass for me, especially when there are others in this category that have it. Other than that it looks to be a fine little light and I am sure it will do well for some folks.
I agree it should be there, depends how you use it really. It's a better overall model then v the JETBeam Mark 1 IBS for example, I was quite disappointed on that one (no clip, can't stand up, strobe in main UI, wasn't really ramping power levels, no grip on body etc). But yes it would have rounded the overall package off on this if it had that moonlight.

Yes seen that one momentary is useful at times, still I like AA models wish more makers make them.
3:10 especially with the reference to the white wall, the tint seems to be very greenish.
It's not as green as the MT2A Pro different LED, it's more neutral at higher levels (that's the lowest output)

Mr Baz, what's the significance of "straight cut threads" as opposed to other kinds of threads?
Less chance of damage v normal V threads, can't really cross thread a square cut thread.
@@MrBazReviews Thanks I understand.
