@@kwametoure3829 God has given us animals for sustenance. It is up to us to be humane and kind in slaughter them. Although Christian I find this a kind, merciful method of slaughter.
I'm not a Muslim, but I truly think this is wonderful. It is similar to thanking the animal for its sacrifice, which I do when I go hunting.
God gave us dominion over Nature, but it is up to us to be thankful to the animals for their sacrifice, lest one day the bounty of nature be taken away from us.
Well as an atheist me too find the Islamic cutting more humane than the others. At least they do it manually and try not to scare the animal. It also reduces the pain by cutting off the blood and oxygen flow.

Jon 93 it's difficult to understand, but there are laws of nature you can't go against. Do you have an answer to why nature made lions carnivorous, sheeps herbivorous. Whereas humans can digest both meet and vegetables. So if u say it is wrong to eat meat then, aren't you criticising nature/God to have done something wrong. Think over it you'll get you answer. If you read Quran patiently, many of questions puzzling human mind are answered.

Why would one worship a god that deliberately gives other animals the capacity to feel, just like humans do, and then have them be slaughtered in the billions to satisfy humans appetites? Hey dude I just wanted to add a slightly faster/easier way to kill an animal for slaughter. If guns are legal where you're at a .22 bullet directly between the eyes of whatever animal it is will out it down before it knows what's hit it. The method in the video is good too but it can be a bit more difficult physically and maybe emotionally if you get attached to for example a farm animal of yours.

@@chilldino well my family contains a lot of hobby farmers and they have everything from sheep and goats to pigs, birds and cows. And with everything except the birds that's just how we put them down before butchering them is putting some food out and letting them eat it then shooting them when their head is down before cutting their throat and draining them out. The bullet will either immediately kill it or put it out so that it won't feel anything after that. I'm not saying anything against the way he does it in the video, I'm just sharing the way I know how.

I studied Islam for a time when life led me to live with some very pure muslim brothers at one time and they were some of the best and kindest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. the inhumane slaughter houses that i just saw on the dominion movie need to watch this. they are so unnecessarily cruel. While this man submits them in the name of God - the listen and stay calm. Thank you for the demonstration. I tried to be vegetarian for three months because I love animals but my body needed the nutrients. I was getting dizzy and periodically lost focus. God made my body in such a way that I need to eat meat.
I was wondering if it would make a difference if I bought from a halaal butcher I saw nearby. Thank you for making me feel better about my decision. I hate factory farming and the conditions those animals have to go through. I also slaughtered a goat while they were shaking and screaming and that was a pasture raised goat. I had trauma from that experience. Thank you for the work that you do :)
I mean you should just stay Vegetarian if you started. What causes you to come to the conclusion that it is impossible if you haven't done it before and didn't eat proper foods that can replace the nutrients that you gain from meat?

Harold Altamirano I think had you used a captive bolt it would have been immediately brain dead and not know what followed. I have seen a sheep killed with a captive bolt, she was munching hay one moment and dead the next with a captive bolt, no shaking or screaming.
She was a pet sheep, very old and had been rescued as a very tiny lamb that would not have survived in the flock. It was a quick and easy death for her. I believe all cattle should be killed with a captive bolt there is a big difference as they just drop unconscious and can then be bled as although brain dead the heart is usually still beating if immediately bled.
God has sent down to us the heavenly books, and the last book was the Quran, an ideal and wonderful book. I hope you read it, it is very important and benefits us a lot in our lives. He told us in His Holy Book that He created animals for us to use them, eat them, and benefit from their wool, and more

After watching this video a few years ago, I was driving on a very dangerous road, and a Bull was in the middle of the road blocking tragic on a dangerous corner. I got out of my car, and kept repeating without fear Bismillah ,Allahu Akbar and lead him back into his pasture, and saved all of us from a truck loaded with granite, that could have killed us. The farmer couldn't believe it. Thank you so much for teaching me this. I have passed this knowledge down to my children and granddaughter. Peace be with you.
these animals have the same emotional capacity as human beings when they see their fellow animals being ushered out they all understand what is happening, the prophet pbuh also seldomly ate meat which is rarely mentioned. He would be considered a vegetarian by any standard. His diet consisted of dates, almonds, milk and bread. Google it yourself.

I have done this easily with full grown cows in the field also chickens but not for slaughter. Sorry to tell you it isn’t anything to do with religion. I am sure if I had slit its throat it would soon be panicking and thrashing, around choking on its own blood just as they do in the abattoirs.

We have made sacrificial camels ˹and cattle˺ among the symbols of Allah, in which there is ˹much˺ good for you. So pronounce the Name of Allah over them when they are lined up ˹for sacrifice˺. Once they have fallen ˹lifeless˺ on their sides, you may eat from their meat, and feed the needy-those who do not beg, and those who do. In this way We have subjected these ˹animals˺ to you so that you may be grateful. - Quran (22:36)
And there is certainly a lesson for you in cattle: We give you to drink of what is in their bellies, from between digested food and blood: pure milk, pleasant to drink. - Quran (16:66)

I remember that I used to read in the Qur'an that some animals were created by God to give benefits for human and some are to provide food. My heart was trembling while looking at how those lambs were very calm by hearing the name of Allah - The Almighty.

This is a great video.We have Muslims trying to educate people about Islam everyday and that is the only thing Muslims can do. Islam is a peaceful religion and it's up to you to choose what you believe, but don't look at Muslims as an example of Islam humans are not perfect.

Sometimes sad for us in the west to watch. But alhamdulilah this is the most peaceful way of slaughter. The animals are calm and have accepted their fate. Allah is merciful to animals in the hereafter too!

But I cannot believe that the animal became calm, after taking the name of god, may be those animals become calm, if we handle in that way. This is superstitios to believe that it's calm bcz of the name of god. Unscientific. Can anyone tell me, for how much duration, is the animal made to suffer in halal method? Are large animals like cows, buffaloes also slaughtered this way?

these animals have the same emotional capacity as human beings when they see their fellow animals being ushered out they all understand what is happening, the prophet pbuh also seldomly ate meat which is rarely mentioned. He would be considered a vegetarian by any standard. His diet consisted of dates, almonds, milk and bread. Google it yourself.

Let’s be honest halal meat cannot be properly mass produced. According to every last procedure of halal slaughter, you can’t mass produce that. The product may be the same, but just an FYI.

I'm not a Muslim but my uncle told me about a local halal butcher shop and I would love to start eating meat again if I can go there! Is there anything for me to learn about the humane treatment of livestock?
So meat becomes halal if the animal was slaughtered without other animals seeing it and the animal cant see the knife u have to do a quick sharp slice and all the blood has to drain out
