The aggressiveness of the reporter is a good sign how the simple fact of questioning a believe can ignite fear. I can see how difficult it can be to abandon things you were told from birth.

Most people have heard “Jesus/God loves you”. Does that mean they have a relationship with God and will go to heaven? Depends on the individual. A relationship is 2 sided, you receive love and you give love back.
God showed His love by suffering, dying on the cross and rising from the dead for you, now you show Love back by repenting of your sins (lying, stealing, sexual sins, taking the Lord’s Name in vain etc) and believing in Jesus as your Lord and saviour so that Heaven is in your future not hell.

GOD DESIRES SACRIFICE.
When Adam and Eve sinned in the garden, they were ashamed of their nakedness and tried to cover their shame by wearing fig leaves. However, God shed an animal and covered them with that instead. We by our own works try to gain God’s approval but God requires a Sacrifice for forgiveness of sins hence Jesus.

My understanding is they need to accept Jesus as their lord and savior. Someone can murder, have sex with their kids, steal, etc. - but as long as they repent and accept Jesus as their savior they are forgiven and accepted into heaven. if this isnt the case then i'm very confused. If i'm correct then you can see that its less about the acts of the individual, but the very savvy way of rewarding the control of the mind to get someone into heaven.

You have clearly never read the Quran. The Quran is filled with numerous scientifical claims which modern science discovered (or actually proved) in the 20th and 21sr century. For example it mentions how the space is always expanding (Quran, 51:47), which was proved by Edwin Hubble in 1929. It also describes how the child develops in the womb of the mother (Quran, 23:12-14). It talks about how the sun and the moon travel in an orbit (21:33) which was proved by Nicolas Copernicus in the 16th century etc. These things were not known by an illitirate man in a desert 1400 years ago. The only rational explanation is that the Quran is not the word of men, but the word of God who is all knowing.
The point is, the Quran and science go hand in hand because the Quran proves to be the word of God by making these claims which happened to be true. Read and be open minded and dont be confines by atheism

In heaven no unclean person is allowed in, you are unclean if you have sinned just once like lying, stealing, sexual immorality, taking the Lord’s Name in vain, evil thoughts etc Jesus (God manifest in the flesh) can put his sinless righteousness on you since He died on the cross, rose from the dead so REPENT AND BELIEVE IN HIM TODAY.

David Diveroli But to call him just a journalist is quite sad. I believe he is one of the more open minded and more civilised journalists we have out there. Granted he may have interrupted Dawkins a few times, but he brings up relevant points and... I personally believe Dawkins didn't answer some questions satisfactory. Well that's for another day.

I personally see how this "journalist" tried to maneuver Dawkins away from what he was saying in order to not let him finish and try and have some particular claim fished out of him, which without explanation would look bad (the most prominent example, of course, being at 42'). And I do think it was made on purpose. It`s not journalism, it`s a completely different art. The closest relative of which is something everyone has heard of and it goes like this: propaganda.

Have you ever lied, lusted sexually, disrespected parents, stolen, thought bad thoughts, hated someone, sinned sexually (fornication, Adultery …) etc All humans have sinned in thought, word or deed. Therefore, none of us are good and able to get into Heaven and will be justly judged and sent to eternity in Hell! But God out of His love sent his son Jesus (also God in Human flesh) to die on the cross for our sins and rise again from the dead (nobody can do that only God).
Jesus said if you Repent of your sins and put your complete trust in Him for your salvation, you’ll have eternal life, given to you as a gift (this message is not to be ignored; seek God today). Your thoughts?

The difference is that Dawkins goes by evidence. If God appeared tomorrow he would believe. No matter what evidence against God, Mehdi would never change his position.

One of Dawkins' greatest flaws is that he is a kind man, and does not wish to say anything especially rude to people. This then makes his statements made in his books and online contradictory to what he says in interviews, removed from interaction he makes bold statements and then back pedals when confronted. When asked if Hassan was abusing his child by teaching his children the Quran Dawkins should have said yes, it is after all what he sincerely believes

There is no point argueing such people. I used to watched Richard Dawkins as a Christian and thought he was an educated idiot. Now I'm agnostic and re-watching Richard Dawkins interviews and I now realize i was the idiot.
On a more detailed note, I actually understand Richard Dawkins when he says he does not attribute or care whether or not good done in the name of religion was in fact due to religion itself, just as the opposite should also not be said, that the evil done in the name of religion was not in fact due to religion itself. He specifically points to faith as evil, that is faith in things that are not based on evidence, and that religion itself is neither evil nor good.

Same here. I used to be Muslim, but now am agnostic. One thing I can add about religion is that it dictates what you are not allowed to think and gives you ready "truth". That's why it is easily consumed because human mind tends to be lazy.

It makes perfect sense because the entire atheist opinion on God is formulated using empiricism, which is the argument that knowledge/fact can only be stemmed from experimental science but rarely anything using experimental science can be proven to a degree of certainty therefore at very most an atheist could say it is very unlikely that the miracle occurred which in itself is a flawed conclusion since the original belief of religion and miracles is innate and metaphysical so cannot be proven or argued by worldly science anyway. In simple terms, it’s like trying to measure your height in kilograms.
Technically you can't prove that he didn't fly to heaven, but that's not how the burden of proof works. The inability to disprove something does not justify belief in it.
I could just as well say that fairies and leprechauns exist, since nobody can disprove it and the scientific method cannot evaluate the existence of such beings.
It's true that science probably can't answer certain questions, but that does not give anyone the right to say "Science cannot prove/disprove/evaluate certain things, therefore I can believe in [Insert irrational belief here]"
Arguments like those are arguments from ignorance: "We don't know/can never understand certain things, therefore [Insert irrational belief] is true."

It certainly could be child abuse for Medhi Hassan to teach his children lies about the nature of the universe and their lives and the lives of others based on religious principles. Man I wish Christopher was still around to hitchslap this man. Every great point Richard made could not of been moved on from faster. I’m not sure if it just the way these talks are held but it seemed the discussion points were only what this other man though he could get a ghost of a point through. That's how all interviewers work. A interviewers job is to ask as many questions as possible. I bet if he wanted he could talk about one topic for hours.

One cannot defend an irrational position using rational argument. Sadly, the same is true of challenging an irrational argument. The person isn’t going to be swayed by rational logic when there position is predicated on irrationality.
God is the epitome of Holiness because He is sinlessly perfect, A sinner (liar, sexually immoral, taking the Lord’s Name in vain, thief etc) cannot be in the presence of God or else he will be utterly consumed therefore repent of your sins and put your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Saviour to go to Heaven.
After the quote from 'The God Delusion" the debate is over. From now onwards it's just repeating religious dogma vs. Dawkins' immense patience.

It is the other way around , if God didn't order you to worship him or do anything but acknowledge him you would do so in a heartbeat because it is hard wired in us to believe in one God a mighty creator, the reason you choose not to believe in god is because you don't want to worship him to begin with , hence why you will probably end up in hell for eternity , because God knows in his infinite wisdom that if you made up your mind a certain way even if he gives you an eternal life you will make the same choices .
