Advice taken friend! The zoom machine is cheaper on Walmart rn tho! I'm actually trying this, some print in demand on etsy, and articles on vocal. And I'm up for more! My plan is to start setting up the passive income before the year ends and let the snow ball effect make the magic. No rush, just starting here! It will take time? so be it!!! I'm exited, I'm finally put it the work!
I have gone through a lot of videos looking into this and I already have created many unique sounds, you sir are by far the most honest person that explains this from start to finish and are not about the click but explaining and letting people understand the whole process and what to expect. I applaud you sir.
Some good advice here. It is possible and I managed to get monetised a year ago - had to submit a video appeal to TH-cam initially as they assumed my work was reused content.
I come from a film-making background and content creators need to spend the time to learn the craft. The audio side is actually harder for this type of thing as you really need to record consistent sound with no surprises for your audience. For example if they’re using your video for sleep they don’t want anything distracting that takes them out of it. Good luck!

Good video bro starting to understand abit more now thinking of buying a laptop and going for it i know a few good spots like river streams with no interferences local woods with different animal sounds etc would i get demonetised if i put a little intro with just slideshows then cut straight to video as thats putting abit more effort in aswel? thanks

You telling the truth my channel demotize by TH-cam 3 times because I take video from website to make relaxing video now I shot.
I suppose if I could manage to travel constantly to places where these videos could be recorded even if no money was made it would be quite an experience. Where I live it rarely rains and even more rarely are there torrential thunderstorms which are the videos that I enjoy the most and that get millions of views.

Hey mate, do you actually have experience with running an ambient channel like this? Ive been hearing a lot that these channels that have original sounds (field recordings, original production) are still getting demonitized and are unable to appeal. I'm a producer and really want to put a tonne of time and effort to grow a channel like this but I'm not going to bother if I'm going to get unfairly demonitized. Thanks!
I’d like to see a video exploring this issue, it seems youtube is possibly not allowing monetization on any of the ambient/relaxation channels anymore (even footage/audio recorded by the youtuber). They leave the older bigger channels alone

How long did you do it for? it will likely take 1-2 years of regular content (a couple of videos per week) before you see any real growth and income.
TH-cam definitely isn’t about getting rich quick. It’s a long game.

As I addressed in the video, the most important thing will be to find your own unique spin on the niche so you can avoid monetisation.
Building a youtube channel takes time and long term commitment, but don’t let your location get in the way.

You could, but if it’s just someone slapping some stock video and audio together you probably won’t get monetised. Or, if you do, you’re susceptible to getting demonetised in the future.

Yeah, TH-cam is a commitment, that’s for sure. But, if you got to $5000 a day, or even a week it may not seem like it was too much work!
If all you're trying to do it get rich quick, you never will.
