In this video you join me in Bradford where we sample some of the First West Yorkshire vehicles that will no longer be part of the City's dynamic of buses once the new clean air zone starts in Spring 2022. This video includes First Bradford, Huddersfield and Halifax with a special appearance from Matt and some trips on his favourite buses in the area!

They will be transferred to Huddersfield and will be repainted into the HD Connect Livery. As I am aware, there are only 3 left in Bradford at the time of writing this comment, and it's not long before these 3 get transferred and repainted.
They've pushed the CAZ Start date again. I think Bradford's CAZ will be postponed to September 2022.
12:28 The 571 bus does come in more than 5 times a day to Bradford. It comes in 12 times a day on Mondays to Fridays.
There's more photos of the new Bradford Streetdecks which can be found on Flickr (if you can find it). They might be numbered from and including 35638-76 and their registrations are confirmed to be MD71 ENU/V/W/X/Y/OA/B/C/E/F/G/H/J/K/L. We've not heard much about the Streetlites though.
UPDATE: The new Streetdecks are now in service.
Everyone is talking about the Streetdecks but what are the single decks arriving?

@@YorksLancsTransportHub The Streetlites are arriving in summer, so they most likely will have 22 plates.
@@busman88-apsley86 Yeah they have been on the 620, 640/1, X6 and 72 even though they are supposed to be on the X11 as well.
All the Buses that will transfer may be spreaded around Leeds, Manchester, South Yorkshire, Southampton Scotland ect.
I dont think Manchester will receive any vehicles due their own clean air zone coming into force in May, the only vehicles at Oldham that cant be used are the 3 remaining B7RLEs.

@@southyorkshirebuses5176 they got rid of them for a reason + compared to West Yorkshire they were quite early when it came to withdrawing B7TLs + with the CAZ in Sheffield they're not allowed
I love my Volvo buses! I will be sad when Volvo buses leave West Yorkshire :(

Pretty sure First York have fitted Eminox exhausts to their B9TL's. They probably have the most modern fleet in the First Yorkshire division.
The best of the Yj07 batch ZF wise is 69270 100%
I’m about 95% sure 37705 (along with 37704) originally started life at Bradford depot for the first year or 2 before transferring to Hunslet Park where it spent a much longer amount of time before returning to Bradford
No B9s went to Hunslet they was some 377s which was Branded for 72 but when that transferred over to Bramley that's when they went with the route.

Can the B7s not be made Euro 6 compliant like some other companies have done? I guess certain non euro 6 B9s are included too?
It's not worth spending money on them.
They can. Bath Bus Company are doing that with theirs but most companies won’t bother because they don’t consider it economically viable to do so. They would rather buy new Euro 6 or Zero Emission buses instead
It's not worth converting them as they are almost 20 years old with them being built between 2002 and 2007. So they are around 14 to 18 years old.
@@YorksLancsTransportHub Tell that to the people who want to refurbish Sheffield's 30-year-old fleet of trams instead of buying more modern ones
@@QuantumScratcher The thing is when it comes to trains and trams they are more economically viable to keep old ones however I do think it is high time Sheffield gets some new trams.
What will happen to the B7s if they have to leave West Yorkshire?
Not solely as its just Bradford which is becoming Clean air zone so they can go to other depot in WY just can't come in Bradford.

5 YJ06 due to move to Great Yarmouth (possibly also Lowestoft) to kill off the YJ51 apparently. Already plenty there, so it makes to move more there and make most of the local town deckers that type
@@Senor082GVU I can see Halifax discarding them very soon as alot of routes from Halifax depot are cross boundary routes meaning that a lot travel into different counties or districts. A lot of the surrounding areas are recieving a low emission zone like Greater Manchester, Leeds and Bradford.

I don’t know why they to get new streetlite what about GB hawk they way better than those streetlite
Firstbus haven't even bought a single GB hawk a.k.a Wright B8rle Eclipse 3 , they could have replaced the streetlite with enviro200mmc but I like streetdeck partly but absolutely not streetlites
A GB hawk would be better to be honest.
