100% true. Example; we are going to emigrate to another country because of the simple fact I feel locked up here in the Netherlands, I get claustrophobic and get depressed in winter. Some people say we’re crazy for doing that. I say you’re crazy if you stay here and go crazy. It’s fear. Fear of letting go of the safety that is provided. But don’t get me wrong I understand. But we are leaving that safety in search of happiness.
I think people describe things they are afraid to do as crazy often because it makes them feel better for playing it safe. The things that are called crazy are rarely all that crazy once you have put a little planning and research into doing it.
great topic. I mention this occasionally, and have been thinking about doing a more detailed version - mostly for my favorite Latin phrase: memento mori !
Thank you for this one - I'm currently in the planning stages of a pretty big trip and I often find myself thinking "what if". Yes it is riding in countries that are considered unsafe, but I have to remind myself that I can't let the medias "portration" of these places discourage me, as they use fear to sell. Ride safe brother!
There is always a possibility of risk, but sensational, scary stories certainly sell like you said! Have a plan, try to be where you are going each day by dark, don't flash large amounts of cash, and I'd expect you will have an absolute blast! I loved traveling in Mexico, and have spent several months over the past few years in Belize. Hoping to add more of Central America to my list here in the next 2 years! 😊
Depends on your temperature. Do you already run a pinlock insert? You might have to upgrade to a snow mobile helmet with a heated visor. That is what I use this time of year.
There are inserts that fit into certain helmets that direct your breath away from the visor. Most helmets have a setting in the visor that will crack it open just enough for a little airflow

Remember you will die.
You have to live the life you get! 👌
FEAR. False emotions appearing real.

Folks tell me to sell my bike after I got into an accident, but why would I sell a friend that literally saved my life
Everything you do can come with a little risk. If you like riding, I'd keep riding!
Make it a short, it was a joy listening to it.
Glad you liked it. I will have to look at an edited version I can fit into a minute for a short. That's a good idea!
Good stuff man! Any suggestions on how to stop the fogging face shield? It's really aggravates me on my winter rides.

@@ak.klr650 Idk what a pinlock and a but I will look into it, thanks!
pinlock.com/products I had one of these and it did well while I was moving at least down to about 25⁰F. Then I had to go to a heated visor.

@@danmanthe9335Yes, that would probably extend the temperature lower that you could get away with only a pinlock and no heated visor.
