I’m a summer collection girl! I wear all the teals and bright neons from April until October… I do like the fall colors a lot but I still will pick a bright neon holo polish over any other color regardless of the time of the year 😂
My favorite was ILNPs Zero Degrees. The combo of metallic blue and doing a magnetic halo effect *chef's kiss* it's so striking and it looks amazing and bright even after wearing for a week
I have around 2,000 polishes from I don't even know how many makers, and honestly I love all of them. But every single time I get a new Orly, I'm blown away by the formula. Plus the brush is perfect for me.
Some Beautiful favorites!! I'm finally getting Preserved in Amber~Can't Wait! My favorite this year was Close Knit by ILNP. Dark, and jeweled toned colors don't look good on me, so my polishes are pretty light. But I keep going back to that one. Literally can't get enough of it. Your video's are SUPER helpful. I bought Lost in the Woods and the dark blue holo from the Holo Taco collection as stand alones. Absolutely love them. I will have to add Lured to my collection. That kaleidoscope effect is stunning!
I'm with you on the complex dark grey/charcoals. Just tried ILNP Stay Hidden and it's wild how it goes from subtle to bright, really looks like different polishes depending on the light. Also surprising how even it looks left sheer at one coat. I will be trying it with a matte coat as well, I suspect it'll have a ton of visual texture, almost stone. Glossy finished, please look up raku pottery, which it strongly reminds me of (aside from the holo).
Love your choices! This year I have gotten really into Bee’s Knees Lacquer (so sad they are closing shop 😭). The formulas are all so great that it’s hard to choose favorites!

KBShimmer "I Knead You Now", green reflective polish that came out early spring is my favourite this year. Such a beautiful green shade and KBShimmer has the smoothest reflective polish formula I've come across. The other shades from that collection are also stunning but that green is *chefs kiss*.

My favorites from this year that I actually own are Penny, Hayride, and Pumpkin Patch from the ILNP Harvest collection - I wasn't expecting to love them as much as I did, but they made an absolutely stunning gradient that was just perfect for fall! Honorable mentions (b/c neither actually came out in 2022, but I did get them this year) are ORLY You Had Me at Hydrangea, and the Lisa Frank purple, I love both of those. Happy New Year!

Loved your INLP picks. Lol, I actually bought some of your favorites from last year. I am so tempted to get the China Glaze Jurassic Park collection because I love the Jurassic movies. The polishes were very awesome but not colors I would probably wear. I'll have to take another look at them. I see they are still in stock at my beauty supply store, which they are super inexpensive. Love your video. I agree, ILNP had an amazing year. I bought several collections, in particular the Spring and the Fall ones. I thought China Glaze had a mediocre year overall, except for the Jurassic World Collection which was their best ever. I really love that you included Cadillacquer - they are an amazing indie brand. And finally, I am very sad to say that I was completely unimpressed with OPI this year. Boring, boring, and more boring.

Have you looked at Polished for Days for a Small Brand Sunday? They have some gorgeous flakies that have a similar vibe to Lured. I’ve been all about the indies this year, and I tried really hard to not have too many repeats. I think Rogue and BKL were my most worn brands.
My favorite polish in 2022 was True Blood from Rogue lacquers Falloween Pt. 2 collection. I was hesitant to buy, bc I thought it to be too similar to other black- red multichromes like KBS Obsidian. I was wrong and totally overwhelmed by how pretty and unique True Blood looks, bc of the added silver flakes and red reflective shimmer. Just WOW in a bottle.
Sunset Swingers from Polished For Days Fairy Tale from Holo Taco These 2 for some reason really stuck out to me this year as being so eye catching a unique! I’ve gone back to both multiple times
Frankly, I'm impressed you can even remember what year these polishes came out, let alone what collection name and season! I only have about 300 and I do not bother with that information, even though I do track them in an app (so I dont end up with 8 linear holographic purples... again...) 🤣 Do you have a spreadsheet, or what's your system?

I posted on Twitter a while ago that you saw of her wearing the topper from Witching Hour that she HAD to wear. Anywho, she is three and was sitting on my lap as I'm watching this video and she had to stop the video and tell me, "Look, Momma! She's so beautiful. Pink eyes!" Thank you for sharing your favorites. ILNP owned 2022.
I love Painted Polish. I don't know what it is, but every color they have looks great on my skin tone. I don't know the name right now, but they have a muted grape purple that I'm obsessed with. And normally I don't like or wear orange, but their Orange You Scared was the only polish I wore twice in a row. I also love their That's the Spirit, I Like Big Mugs, and Sark Roast Deeamin'. Ugh, those last 3 are so sparkly, rich, and yeah, amazing formula. That was the brand I wore the most for the fall. Oh! I actually just got their My Gaia from Pick up polish. Can't wait to try it, but lately I find myself more drawn to the very shifty finishes. I just bought a ton of those from there, too. Eek!😊
Kelli, ILNP does have a similar color to Lured in purple. It comes up as a “you may also like” if you look at the Lured polish on their website! I almost bought Lured in my last order, but I restrained myself from buying “another” teal. Regretting that now that I see how gorgeous it is!
@@KelliMarissa I typed in “blackened” to search, and they have a few blackened purples. Guest List was the one I think I saw before, and Annabelle was labeled as a blackened eggplant purple.
You and I share several favs... I 100% agree with you that ILNP knocked it out of the park in 2022. I picked up so many of their polishes. Last Call is AMAZING! Oh my! 😍 Mooncat was another stand out for me. Eye of Newt was one of the best greens of any brand in 2022. Their holo's have been so luscious and opaque. I think they rival Holo Taco. ((I know, crazy right)). I just ordered some Cadillacquer and A England, I am anxious to try them. Starrily is on my "to try" list for 23. 🙂

My name is Ashley… obvious nickname is Ash which some friends and coworkers call me. My grandma always called me Ashie. My sister-in-law wanted a nickname for me (back when I was newly dating my now husband) but she didn’t want to call me Ash because that’s too common. So she went with ‘Shley’ and it has stuck hardcore with all the family 😅 I loved your polish choices! Surprised there wasn’t more purple! Or more neutrals tbh. I personally love summer and fall collections the most. I like the bright and warm colors 😊
Greyt is in my top of the year for sure! Those ILNP too even those from fall that I didn't have the chance to buy yet! I love everything in a jelly vase with Holo or flakes in it! For me the best collection this was the kaleidoscope haze from Mooncat! 😁 But I collect Holo Taco and my favourite from them is the Lite mode even if it sells bad! 😅

Sixth person to smash my car in 11 months! I almost want to walk to work, but it's too far. So wish me luck in finding a new car. I love these colors, and how you do different things with them. I absolutely loved the xbox collection. All the colours worked so well! My favourite is also You had me at Halo, but Quest for Quartz is a close second! My other favourites this year would be Lavender Syrup form the Holo Taco Pastel Rainbow collection and Belt It Out from the Morgan Taylor I wanna dance with somebody collection. Can you tell I like purple? haha
Great choices, except for maybe the halo OPI which didn't look good on my skin. Gave me lobster hands. Another ILNP that is on my best 22 list is Autum. That collection along with their late summer with all the sunset shades were tremendous. On to '23!
Loooove these videos! Always so fun to see your faves. As for me, I am doing a bit of a project to finish up my nail polishes, so I am using them up, or using them until they get goopy and don't dry up anymore. I only bought myself 2 Holo glitter topper the whole year, but I opened only one lol. I managed to finish 6 nail polished ( because I stopped wearing it for a bit, could have done better lol), 2 bases and 2 topcoats. I decided to do so to minimize my collection, they are all quite old and I don't really like most of them nowdays, I want to make space for new beautiful polishes that I actually like (this is a whole life collection and mostly have been bought by my mom when I was in highschool/middle school)
I love that idea! I bet you'll really find yourself loving whatever new polishes you get into once you make a new purchase! If there are any that you don't mind parting with, a fun idea might be to mix a couple of colors together to see if you can create a new color out of your existing collection that you might like more!

Honestly I feel like a lot of mainstream brands mostly disappointed me this year, OPI, China Glaze and Zoya were overall meh.

My favorite polish in 2022 was True Blood from Rogue lacquers Falloween Pt. 2 collection. I was hesitant to buy, bc I thought it to be too similar to other black- red multichromes like KBS Obsidian. I was wrong and totally overwhelmed by how pretty and unique True Blood looks, bc of the added silver flakes and red reflective shimmer. Just WOW in a bottle.

Frankly, I'm impressed you can even remember what year these polishes came out, let alone what collection name and season! I only have about 300 and I do not bother with that information, even though I do track them in an app (so I dont end up with 8 linear holographic purples... again...) 🤣 Do you have a spreadsheet, or what's your system?
Haha! Honestly, I do not have a system, but I think it's easier for me to commit collections to memory because I spend so many hours editing videos 🤣 I would be very impressed if a non swatcher remembered! (And a ton of linear purple holos sounds like a good problem to have LOL)
i forgot how much i loved Sunkissed! my favorite this year has to be one from Emily de Molly - A Spot in the Woods. it’s such a stunning thermal. i’ve been wondering if you’ve got them on your radar for a Small Brand Sunday video.

I love these longer favorite videos, it's great for inspiration and looking back on the year. I found the complete Orly surrealism collection in Vinted for 20 euros last week! I got them in this week and man they're so good! I'm very happy with this deal ❤️ 👍🏻

Kelli!!! I want to share something with you. Little backstory, my daughter loves to wear nail polish like I do. I posted on Twitter a while ago that you saw of her wearing the topper from Witching Hour that she HAD to wear. Anywho, she is three and was sitting on my lap as I'm watching this video and she had to stop the video and tell me, "Look, Momma! She's so beautiful. Pink eyes!"

I love Painted Polish. I don't know what it is, but every color they have looks great on my skin tone. I don't know the name right now, but they have a muted grape purple that I'm obsessed with. And normally I don't like or wear orange, but their Orange You Scared was the only polish I wore twice in a row. I also love their That's the Spirit, I Like Big Mugs, and Sark Roast Deeamin'. Ugh, those last 3 are so sparkly, rich, and yeah, amazing formula. That was the brand I wore the most for the fall.
Oh! I actually just got their My Gaia from Pick up polish. Can't wait to try it, but lately I find myself more drawn to the very shifty finishes. I just bought a ton of those from there, too. Eek!😊
Kelli, ILNP does have a similar color to Lured in purple. It comes up as a “you may also like” if you look at the Lured polish on their website! I almost bought Lured in my last order, but I restrained myself from buying “another” teal. Regretting that now that I see how gorgeous it is!

@@KelliMarissa I typed in “blackened” to search, and they have a few blackened purples. Guest List was the one I think I saw before, and Annabelle was labeled as a blackened eggplant purple.
You and I share several favs... I 100% agree with you that ILNP knocked it out of the park in 2022. I picked up so many of their polishes. Last Call is AMAZING! Oh my! 😍 Mooncat was another stand out for me. Eye of Newt was one of the best greens of any brand in 2022. Their holo's have been so luscious and opaque. I think they rival Holo Taco. ((I know, crazy right)). I just ordered some Cadillacquer and A England, I am anxious to try them. Starrily is on my "to try" list for 23. 🙂

My most worn polishes this year I think would have to be Holo Taco Favorite Sister, Starrily Seratonin, Void, Oxytocin, and Bellatrix, Iscreamnails holos, and I found myself doing a TON of nailart this year with multiple colors using nail vinyls mostly♡ idk why I've been in that mood that you want to just spend time doing small detail and use multiple colors
My name is Ashley… obvious nickname is Ash which some friends and coworkers call me. My grandma always called me Ashie. My sister-in-law wanted a nickname for me (back when I was newly dating my now husband) but she didn’t want to call me Ash because that’s too common. So she went with ‘Shley’ and it has stuck hardcore with all the family 😅 I loved your polish choices! Surprised there wasn’t more purple! Or more neutrals tbh. I personally love summer and fall collections the most. I like the bright and warm colors 😊

Rye bread is an awesome nickname. 🤣 I love it. I've had a lot of nicknames over the years, and hubby has had a few too, as well as the typical relationship cutesy nicknames. Probably my most popular nickname is Manders, and for hubby, as least in his adult years, it was Muck.

So I finally got my car back 2 days ago. On my way to the dr, and some psycho hit me head on! Then left the scene. My air bags blew, my leg is broken, and my car is totaled! Sixth person to smash my car in 11 months! I almost want to walk to work, but it's too far. So wish me luck in finding a new car. I love these colors, and how you do different things with them. I absolutely loved the xbox collection. All the colours worked so well! My favourite is also You had me at Halo, but Quest for Quartz is a close second! My other favourites this year would be Lavender Syrup form the Holo Taco Pastel Rainbow collection and Belt It Out from the Morgan Taylor I wanna dance with somebody collection. Can you tell I like purple? haha
Out of the ones you mentioned I have Orly Metamorphosis and I love it. I also have ILNP Lured and I didn’t wear it yet.
Great choices, except for maybe the halo OPI which didn't look good on my skin. Gave me lobster hands. Another ILNP that is on my best 22 list is Autum. That collection along with their late summer with all the sunset shades were tremendous. On to '23!

As for me, I am doing a bit of a project to finish up my nail polishes, so I am using them up, or using them until they get goopy and don't dry up anymore.
I only bought myself 2 Holo glitter topper the whole year, but I opened only one lol.
I managed to finish 6 nail polished ( because I stopped wearing it for a bit, could have done better lol), 2 bases and 2 topcoats.
I decided to do so to minimize my collection, they are all quite old and I don't really like most of them nowdays, I want to make space for new beautiful polishes that I actually like (this is a whole life collection and mostly have been bought by my mom when I was in highschool/middle school)
I love that idea! I bet you'll really find yourself loving whatever new polishes you get into once you make a new purchase!
If there are any that you don't mind parting with, a fun idea might be to mix a couple of colors together to see if you can create a new color out of your existing collection that you might like more!
