The Honda Civic (Japanese: ホンダ・シビック, Hepburn: Honda Shibikku) is a series of automobiles manufactured by Honda since 1972. Since 2000, the Civic has been categorized as a compact car, while previously it occupied the subcompact class. As of 2021, the Civic is positioned between the Honda Fit/City and Honda Accord in Honda's global car line-up.
The first-generation Civic was introduced in July 1972 as a two-door coupe model, followed by a three-door hatchback that September. With a 1,169 cc transverse engine and front-wheel drive like the British Mini, the car provided good interior space despite overall small dimensions. Initially gaining a reputation for being fuel-efficient, reliable and environmentally friendly, later iterations have become known for performance and sportiness, especially the Civic Type R, Civic VTi, Civic GTi and Civic SiR/Si.
The Civic has been repeatedly rebadged for international markets, and served as the basis for the Honda CR-X, the Honda CR-X del Sol, the Concerto, the first generation Prelude, the Civic Shuttle (later to become the Orthia) and the CR-V (which, by extension, was used as the basis for the Honda FR-V).
The Civic is one of the all-time best-selling automobiles in the world, with over 27 million units sold since 1972 as of 2021.
The first-generation Civic was introduced on 11 July 1972, but sold as a 1973 model in Japan.
The second-generation Civic was introduced in June 1979 as a 1980 model
The third-generation Civic was released in September 1983 for the 1984 model year.

The billion dollar question is how do you keep every single one of the workers motivated and producing flawless results day after day year after year! And keeping thousands of machines and robots working without breaking down. They do by the way ,as Honda builds a quality product.
I drove my 1998 Honda Civic Coupe (EJ6) for more than 11 years here in Germany and not a single sign of rust. Not one! Whilst the hatchback version that was built in England was a rusty thing on wheels. Very good quality from the US factory!

The 2016 to current Honda Civic with the K20C2 is the modern 1993 Toyota Camry. Port injection, so no carbon build up, and naturally aspirated instead of turbocharged. Even Honda people tell me how well my Civic has held up compared to other Hondas for the high mileage.

What would make it perfect is if it had hydraulic lifters for even less maintenance. It's an economy engine after all, no need for solid lifters.
Our 2016 got an easy 36MPG. Our 2022 gets 33MPG. That sucks.
@@wanaraz That's weird, because doesn't the 2016 civic never had any idle start stop, but is standard on all 2022 models? and the 0 to 60 in the 2022 civics are actually slower than the 2016 to 2021 models with the same engines due to honda changed up the cvts.

So this is how my 2023 Type r is being made
24:48 R18A2 Honda Civic 8 and 9 Th Generations engine codes they had issues with cracking engine block but later on with uprages thickened the walls and got the most reliable engine on this segment no oil dilution no water leakage naturaly aspirated the 1.8L engines they are the most reliable if you change your oil regularly, 10th Generation has L15 engine code your welcome !
Just think about the type of journeys those Civic will take people to. I have an idea for a commercial PM me Honda.

Due of limited chips so the production would be pending or postponed
so noisy inside, where are the employee earplugs? CVT's uhmmm. Snap together plastic bumper/grill to chassis how cheap. Cheap Underbody covers. How many bolts were forgotten to install or were not torqued? Hey! where are the inspectors to make sure things got done correctly? Hatchback factory misses. Where is OSHA? lots of Safety issues.
watching these videos I realize some of us people put in a lot of hard work to purchase basically a sophisticated toy. The importance we as a society put on owning these mass made mechanical devices is crazy.
