Magnificent singing! And, what a pleasure not to have Carlo and Rodrigo barefooted in a “concept” staging with a bust of Chairman Mao in the background. Capisce Mr. Gelb!
Boy, these gentlemen could sing! How lucky we are to have this on video! And the orchestra is so very, very great. Probably some cranky German autocrat conducting! 🤪🤪
Just love Carreras - SUCH a beautiful voice, and great acting. IMHO the 3 tenors are rated as 1) Domingo - 2) Carreras - 3) Pavarotti. Domingo was almost peerless - wonderful dramatic tenor, and great actor - Carreras the same. Pavarotti - not so much - great voice, but almost no acting at all. Pav was nice guy, but basically a showman. The other two - fantastic opera/singing stars!! Lovely, PROPER, traditional costumes and settings - SUCH a relief!!

...and Immortal Verdi
❤outstanding🎉 sadly Jose could not effort the longlivety ….😢
It is really special to hear Jose Carreras sing before too heavy repertoire apparently shredded his gorgeous voice.
Grazie Theo per il video.Tutti e due i cantanti mi piacciono. Dei “tre tenori” quello che preferivo è proprio Carreras
Deux grands interprètes !!!
06:13 min to 06:31 min top top music!
That is a composer and a conductor making art!

Karajan I think
@@LohengrinO - I love the Karajan studio Don Carlo - they sing their lungs out! Going to listen to it now!
spit the cords to the floor... my kind of singing :p
Jose had a fabulous voice as did Cappuccilli. Sad thinking about Jose dying of cancer while still relatively young.
Huh?! Who died 2 weeks ago? Carreras? AFAIK, he's still very much alive, at least at the time of this typing per Google, fingers crossed. 😊
still alive now as well

❤❤❤😊😊😊❤❤❤
Прекрасное звучание мужественно го баритона и пылкого тенора!
Who sang the roles of Princess Eboli, Phillip II and Elisabetta?
Eboli was Baltsa, Philip was sung by a VERY young Furlanetto and Elisabetta was sung by Fiamma Izzo d'Amico.
@@elisabetta611 Thank you very much for the information.
Superb HvK production with the 22-year-old Fiamma Izzo d’Amico (whatever happened to her?) ❤❤❤
She stopped singing in the 1990s to devote herself to dubbing films and series.
Poor Jose pushing his beautiful lyric vioce to the limit just like his hero Pippo .
And for it, he will live in our hearts forever. Just like di Stefano
