Carlo Bergonzi & Piero Cappuccilli sing the tenor-baritone duet "Dio, Che Nell'alma Infondere" from Giuseppe Verdi's "Don Carlo" in this performance from 1970.
This is fucking great, with the orchestration the vocals, the coordination, the beauty. Thank you to EVERYONE involved in this. From the bottom of my heart, beauty at its finest!
That "conductor" is Alberto Erede. It's not like he's imitating Toscanini, it's beacuse he studied its well known technique which was absolutely a great idea considering Toscanini was one of the best on conducting Italian opera.
Due grandi.Doi mari interpreti de opera verdiana.Scoala de canto italiana, unica, magnifica.

Magnifici, due cantanti verdiani di alta scuola ❤❤❤
Sublime duo !!!
Bravo!
Na swoje czasy - a może i na długo dalej - wybitni śpiewacy. Przyjemność ich słuchać i podziwiać.
❤🎉🎉two giants🎉
GOLDEN AGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love the orchestra
Due Grandi... grazie!!
Мне кажется, партию Карлоса и этот дуэт в особенности никто не спел лучше, чем Карло Бергонци👍👍👍
Fantastic! And it's done in a faster pase then other videos with this song.
Ammazza che velocità..,,
Bergonzi solito suono costruito e artefatto, emissione sempre un po' forzata e sempre alla ricerca delle posizioni.
Cappuccilli un gigante!
Youngness power.
Arguably the greatest Verdi tenor and baritone, this was bound to sound excellent. Where was Cappuccilli when Solti recorded Don Carlo?!
Unfortunately he was replaced by Fischer-Dieskau who ruined the entire recording
@@Altonahh10 Why replaced? Cappuccilli is the best Posa
very fast crazy tempo wow almost like a cartoon
The tempo a bit on the fast side, but solid singing by both!
maybe depends of a "recital" tempo...

Wonderful! I didn't know this exsisted. Who's conducting this? I think Siepi might have sung King Phillip's monologue on this special also.
The conductor's name is Alberto Erede.
We thought that it was fast those days…. But, we are getting used to it and perhaps a tad better than before in terms of tempo ?!?
those days I used to be in Wiener Staatsoper every night, but never heard it so fast. Its too fast! I was looking if I was on 0, 75 😀
Bergonzi calante as usual. But nice video over all. The way the conductor imitates Toscanini is really cute.

Quien dirige?

Good, but top gastos.
In my opinion, too fast.
On the "fast" side tempo-wise but no modest singing here.
I
I mean too fast.
