I don’t have any friends though, but I have an awesome boyfriend and a cat. I lost my family at 17 I rent the house and live with friends. Work here and there just to know people . I have been working for people or in my own business. All this bullshit about old infants are just crap. Fearmongoring gets views and attention
It's true that ages 20-24 are 'clueless ages'. I experience this first hand, It's like you're completely blind in a cave, you gotta trust your instincts to get out of the cave to achieve your goals and freedom
Is not true man I know a guy who started working in his 50s. To be serious you can always say you had a business and failed and that’s it. Jordan Peterson and all the people who believe 30s are the end of the world are just teachers I mean. This guy has never worked outside school man what does he know
This is where I have to disagree with Jordan here. First off 25 and 30 are still in the same age group pretty much. You see a lot of age groupings put 25-34 as one age group. Secondly age does not equate to life stage. Everyone develops differently and there is no blueprint for where you should be at 25 vs 30 or any age for that matter. Thirdly, early 30s by most people's definition is still a young adult. Whenever you see a young adult age range, it typically goes up to 34/35. Sometimes 39. Sure it sometimes only goes up to 24/25. But going by that definition, 25 would not exactly be "young adulthood" either. So really 25 and 30 are basically around the same range. Finally, last time I checked, 25 to 30 was 5 years, not 10 years.
I'm still in my 20's although late 20's but i can tell you, No your wrong, That is a huge misconception and scientific studies show we barely stop devoloping at age 30 and 45 is entering middle age, and , 30's is the time of confidence and getting serious, Now if you said 45 then sure you might have a point, but MANY people became successful in life AFTER 30 , some of the biggest company owners we know today were not in their 20's @@AFEEF93
He doesnt say you cant make it at 30, you can. Dont misunderstand him. You can absolutely make it at 30, but guess what! You'll have to work with 20 year olds beside you. That's the point of his argument. And you dont want to be that person. I am one of those old infants out there...unfortunately! You can work yeah, sure! But nobody wants you! No one is thrilled about you. And when you do a mistake, well, it's not enough, you'll sure hear something like "30 and still doesnt know how to do well".
So I use to work at a hospital at 25 as a technician and when your 25 the doctors see you ok your a kid like he said I left that job position at 30 Never to return cause now ppl who have their doctor degrees see you as dumb. “Your 30!” Is all I got I’m in school rn tryin to get my degree and work on my own and I’m happy he is 100% right ppl start to perceive you as you have don’t nothing even tho you know you have

I dont know if it's something i see myself still doing at 30, but it's a proper job with decent pay. The sacrifice here would be doing a tougher job but im being more of a competent adult by doing so.
People forget that it's not just the age; your body is physically changing your energy in your 30s, which is not the same in your early 20s. You'll deal with all the consequences of your bad choices in your 20s.
"I'm 25, and at this age, I've come to realize the meaning of 'my life.' I have a goal. I wake up in the morning, make my bed, and regain my motivation, in part thanks to you, Dr. ❤️"
Bro if he thinks this applies to everyone then jokes on him. What if someone who is 30 choose to be as cheerful and kind of childlike attitude (you woulda call it clueless too) as he was in is 20ish but in his private life he has a great life for a 30 year old??? Bro clueless can means a lot of things, it dont have to mean about your finance and shit. and if you think you should trust this man’s advice on this reel alone , youre pathetic. Follow your pace and guide yourself with it!
Of course he doesn't believe this applies to everyone, it's a generalization. This has nothing to do with "attitude" by your way of definition. Nothing to do with being cheerful or childlike in that sense. This has to do with a 30 year old having the same level of responsibility as a young 20 year old. He's speaking of clueless, as in one's experiences that can help build a career. A young 20 year old likely doesn't have that experience and thats okay, there are fair reasons. However, if by 30 you still have none then you better have a damn good excuse as to what you're done in the last decade. This is neither illogical nor unreasonable.

Actually I don't really care what people think at this point. If I'm an old infant it's not because I haven't tried. Not everyone's life is the same, some people face obstacles that maybe others don't have
@@italkgory99 It's not young enough to give people the benefit of the doubt for being a useless piece of trash, you think they'd be treated as harshly as a 30, 35, 40 year old since mentally they should be much closer to that than to 18 or whatever.
That’s why 30+ year old making the same dumb decisions they made in their twenties makes me roll my eyes. It’s especially bad when they say I was young and dumb but they were 32 when they made the dumb decision.
@@CreativeCreaturefx But 20s as in 20-29 is NOT an age group. It's too broad to be an age group. Same with 30s. 30-39 is too broad to be a single age group. Your age group is basically your current age plus/minus 5 years, roughly speaking. Also it doesn't matter. Everyone develops differently. Age does NOT equate to life stage. This idea that you have to hit certain milestones by a certain age is BS.
Even though the difference is just fucking 5 years but men in 25 considered young and usually are desirable from old and young women but when they hit late 20s and the beginning of 30s they become old and not even attractive for young or older women, life is hard for men.

One dimensional white privileged view of what life should be. This doesn't take into account people who have had traumatic childhoods, people with disabilities, caregivers/parents getting back to their jobs after a break or someone who is just getting started in their career because of lack of opportunities.

What the fuck does race has to do with it? Microsoft CEO is Indian so is UK Prime Minister, these are just very few examples. How is that a white privilege? Instead of blaming your misfortune on another race, try to focus on yourself instead and people who surrounded you perhaps?
It's a generalization. The point is make a statement that applies to the general public. He's also a clinical psychologist, I'm sure he understands the differences between the people you mentioned.
This is so inaccurate that it’s sad. Never call anyone “an old infant” at any point in your life. Ever. From some of the jobs I’ve worked at; helping people in need; I quickly realized that some people experience very traumatic situations and events in life and that it could very well happen to any of us regardless of social hierarchy. I’m going to have to respectfully disagree with his adderall induced rant about how he feels people should be at 30, this world is full of survivors of some terrible things. Have empathy and if you have the chance to help someone that is lost at any age, help them. We are all lost at some point in life if even for a moment. Smh I usually agree with his perspective but he really needs to take less adderall and be more human. He’s becoming a professional idiot.
Your life has value. We are all sinners in need of salvation from our sins. Jesus Christ willingly laid His life down for us on the cross. We cannot earn our salvation or God's forgiveness. It is a gift. It can only be received through faith. It doesn't matter how broken, wretched, or empty you may be. It doesn't matter if you have made a complete mess of your life. It doesn't matter if you have not lived up to the expectations of others. Jesus loves and values you. He sees your soul valuable enough to die for even if you were the only sinner in the world. His love has the power to change us. We cannot clean ourselves up or make ourselves right in our own strength. If we trust in Christ, the Holy Spirit will give us the strength to repent from our sins and let go of our idols. He will sanctify us and cause us to walk in the light of truth. We live in a materialistic age that throws people aside when they cannot be used in some way. Human life is sacred and has value. The Gospel is not about following dead religion. Jesus wants a real, living relationship with us. We are offered eternal life and a relationship with the holy Creator God who made us. When we first come to faith in Christ and give Him our lives, then He will lead us in the purpose of our lives. He created us for a reason. He is glorified when we serve Him according to our skills and talents. Ultimately, our great purpose is to serve God and serve others. No amount of self-help will be able to change us. We need to be born again. We need Jesus to save us.

Thank you for this video. I truly feel, I failed in everything needed, to establish yourself a healthy life as an adult. And it feels bad, really bad.
So, though I tried really hard, I failed (33) in every academical program I tried. My twenties are chronology of repeteaded failure. Ultimately I needed to leave college, since I had so much debt - without a degree. Since then I have been living at home and struggling to find any meaningful work. I send thousands of applications but nobody seems want to give me even a chance. Beside that I never had ANY platonic nor romantic realationships troughout this time. And still dont have, since all my peers are at so different stages in life. They work, have families...and I am still living in my childhood room.
I really really feel depressed. I wish at least something would have worked out in my life, but nothing did.

I’m 23 (24 in December) and I feel so lost now, I had to quit my job because I couldn’t stand working with a S3xual harasser, many girls quit because of him and we’ve reported him plenty of times but he has my boss wrapped around his finger, I wouldn’t be surprised if she had a crush on him considering how she invites him to her home even though she literally has a husband. I’m looking for a new job but it’s very difficult to find one, It just feels like everything is over
It looks like your boss has something with that sexual harasser? Anyways I think local people have more job opportunities than foreigner. I am a 24 year old international student. I am still struggling to settle down in the country.

Document everything. Whatever you remember try to get dates and times. Save about 3-4 months worth of shit and go sue. Even throw in some recordings and shit…then go see a lawyer. Even though you quit, still see if you can write some shit down or instead…get others to record for you while they’re still there…then throw your documents in. That’s the best thing I can think of.

Turning 30 this year and finally got into the career I wanted and worked for all my 20’s. I don’t live in a great area or have a lot of money or friends, but I have a car, I pay my bills and can still go on vacation once a year. I don’t have any friends though, but I have an awesome boyfriend and a cat. I think getting divorced at 22 and having to move back in with my parents helped, life gave me a swift kick in the ass and I decided to get a job I didn’t like until I could get my job now. Your 20’s are not just for having fun and fucking off. You set yourself up now, and you’ll be much better off later, trust me!
27 and I'm still an idiot.....humbly.
I am 28 now, and I can relate this video very well As i am in my late 20s now I am still figuring out myself with my life. I had thought that by 25 I would have a stable job and have a long rerm relationship but even now also i am not having both. I realize that there is no such thing as perfect age to settle down in career and have a stable relationship. Each and everyones journey is different. The only difference which I feel now unlike when I was 22 is that I have become more mature and now I view things at a different angle as compared to before. Now I am more choosy about the people with whom I vibe and with certain choices I make

Hey there, I’m the same as you at 29. Never had a job and my mental wealth was an absolute joke since I was a child, the idea of driving a car fills me with dread and anxiety. I’m starting volunteer work soon with a homeless charity and I’m gonna be doing that until college courses start back up again here next year to try understand work ethic and force myself to have a normal sleep cycle. I’m currently doing a 3 month component module course online to get a minor award which will give me 15 credits towards achieving a major in college. My first driving lesson will be in a few days and I feel like I’m burning when I think about it but I’ll tell you what man.. I’d rather die in a car wreck than allow my life to continue being one. Very true
Wow he’s mean 😂
and correct
If you ain't got it by 30 then you're in trouble pimp.

So what? I dont give a shit what other people think about me.

You don't get to choose the sacrifice. Sometimes, it just isn't in the cards for you to succeed at anything.
If it’s real and the sacrifice is big enough it’s possible
💯

The sacrifice here would be doing a tougher job but im being more of a competent adult by doing so.
People forget that it's not just the age; your body is physically changing your energy in your 30s, which is not the same in your early 20s. You'll deal with all the consequences of your bad choices in your 20s.

When the fuck did 25 become "young"?
You really think 25 is “old” ? If that’s the case, then what are you considered the next 60 years of your life?

This doesn't take into account people who have had traumatic childhoods, people with disabilities, caregivers/parents getting back to their jobs after a break or someone who is just getting started in their career because of lack of opportunities.
Fkn exactly !!!! ❤ some people are just learning to live life heathily in their twenties. I.e. abused people or lgbtq people who living life for the first time after being oppressed
What the fuck does race has to do with it? Microsoft CEO is Indian so is UK Prime Minister, these are just very few examples. How is that a white privilege? Instead of blaming your misfortune on another race, try to focus on yourself instead and people who surrounded you perhaps?

whit privilege doesn't exist
I feel to see what his race has to do with the point he made.

This is where having Jesus in your life makes all the difference
The skills you have now could be very irrelevance and useless after 10 years.
