Ryo Takeuchi, a Japanese director now living in Nanjing, capital of east China's Jiangsu Province, never expected the documentary he made amid the novel coronavirus outbreak would go viral in both Japan and China. For the doubts from Japanese netizens, he insists that he has never taken the money from the Chinese government.

According the to World Bank and IMF controlled by USA, EU, and Japan but by mostly USA, China is poised to overtake take USA by 2018 or 7 more years in nominal GDP terms or by the actual dollar amount. China is already the largest economy by PPP terms. PPP takes into account the living standards in a country.
      Nominal or Dollar GDP
      USA: 2019 = 21.7 trillion
      China 2019 = 14.7
      USA PPP = 21.7 trillion
      China PPP = 27.1 trillion
PPP is more accurate. What is this is that if the USA dollar and Chinese RMB or Yuan has a 1 to 1 ratio, the Chinese economy can buy 27.1 trillion dollars worth of goods in China versus the USA of 21.7 trillion.
But being the largest economy is far more than GDP or PPP - USA government has 0 dollars in saving while China has over 3.3 trillion in reserves which is more than any country.
However, PPP China will double the USA - this means Chinese people will have a lot of purchasing power and that is why the EU not following the USA.
By 2028 China GDP should be around 22-23 trillion if pandemic can be controlled but its PPP can be 45-50 trillion. Staring in 2021 China is opening its 45 trillion financial markets to the world and in 10 years the financial market can be 80-100 trillion market. So if countries want a part of that they aren't going to really listen to USA. USA would be smart to lower the bashing and get a piece of the financial market.
All the Chinese bashing is just saying that USA is losing and it just can't accept being number 2 that is all. Think about it. The EU is not going along while the five eyes countries (USA, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand) tend to stick together. But again, look at from an unbiased standpoint. The other four countries (Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand) are the little brothers and sisters of USA so they gonna do a little for the USA when asked.
Do you really think Australia is really going to give up the 158 billion trade between China and Australia to be 100% on the USA side? No way. Australia can give up Huawei and a few things here and there just like the other three countries. The trade between UK and China is about 89 billion - UK not wanting Huawei is because big brother USA asking for a favor. Do you really think UK gonna give up 89 billion dollars worth of trade?
People tend to blow up the problems but if you look at the big numbers, no country is that stupid to give up its money. I see the Chinese bashing as a positive thing. Why? It shows you USA is losing bad, real bad - that is just another way USA is showing it.
If you are winning, you would not be complaining. Only losers tend to whine and blame.
China is not perfect but China is moving forward and there will be some tripping but China will be fine. USA in 10 years will lower its voice. You'll hear some issues here but overall China will be too big economically, military, and geopolitically.
I just laugh when USA tries something - if you understand the numbers its just laughable whatever USA does. Trying to get attention.

@@frankjohnson3158 Let's hope US realize that and move forwards with better relations instead of intimidation. Working together is the best option but US are still war mongers and that will never change for their war economy. China is the only country brave enough to stand against US. The rest are too timid and are afraid to step forward to take a stance against the genocide of Muslims and others they invade or coup.

I first came to know of Ryo watching the documentary on Wuhan. It is the best documentary on Wuhan covid in my opinion. It is raw and sincere. I was in tears listening to some of the interviewees particularly the sweet girl who lost her grandfather and the nurse who found her worth after covid. I find myself being able to empathise with them. For Ryo to leave Japan at the height of success in Japan was a very courageous move and to start from scratch. His comment on transient popularity on internet shows his down to earth personality. I wish Ryo and his family every success. On a cheery note, I have never heard curly hair people are smart. Is the interviewer trying to make Ryo happy? LOL.

I do also think that the pandamic worked out in chinas favour because of the media attention was refocused on the pandemic from the hong kong protests and the internment of ugyhur minority.

Even Nanjing settlements don't discriminate Japanese due to their past, imagine if China has a grudge towards it
The real problem lies here, JAPAN govt needs to reimburse regarding the history, tell the truth to it's citizens

I often think about China on one side and rest of the world on the other side. Anti-China sentiments have consumed me and sometimes still consuming me, what is it; that unfolding the truth about China and Chinese people, is it their trustworthiness, hardworking, respect for other culture or their simplicity ! Of course, all of the above! Thank you China for being the best country in the world.
