- Poisoning chickens is now obsolete. This incredibly simple farm takes seconds to build and is nearly self-sustaining, consuming only the durability of shears to make wither roses at a rate of about a stack every 80 seconds.

5:29 Hopper minecarts can be added to automate collection of snowballs and wither roses, but you need to have snowballs in inventory in order to craft them into snow blocks. Jumping into the chamber is a very easy way to quickly get the snowballs into inventory while also collecting the wither roses.

This is such a great wither rose farm! You usually don't need them in great quanities so a semi-automatic farm suffices (a general trend for most farms, actually). Bonus points for the pumpkin carver, I like using pumpkin lanterns as light sources and that's perfect as well. Each video is just a treasure trove of Ingenuity and elegance.
Yeah the pumpkin carver is so useful. I used to pillar up on pumpkins with shears in my offhand and then chop the tower down. This is way better
Wow, this is so elegantly simple. Especially since snow golems are apparently so easily renewable, I never would have thought of recovering and recycling the pumpkins!

@@blahjett8826 Yeah Tango and Impulse built his raid farm and Xisuma got inspired by his honey and scaffolding mob farm. Also Tango got inspiration from his piglin bartering farm farm.

@@generalhux1818 We'd all love to see that, but I don't really see that happening. Ian's content isn't the entertainment style they are looking for and I think Ian would refuse anyway because he's dedicated to making amazing farms.

It's amazing how much these farms just make sense and seem like they should've been made so long ago. Truly a blue collar hero; just a little bit of work and getting your hands dirty and you can have something great.
Well in hindsight they're obvious, but it takes ingenuity to stray from the norm so efficiently

Brilliant just what I need to finish out my wither skelly double intersection, not a fan of keeping a wither in an end gateway, or withercage afk this for 10 minutes and its dead and gone, yet another simple and easy farm, keep up the great tutorials, they are fast becoming the goto farms for the community!!!

Very impressive design! I would never have thought that the snow from the golems, as well as the pumpkins to make them, could be reused, healing the Wither as well! Personally this is the best wither rose farm I've come across.

this is definitely what i will be using in the future, it's just so incredibly convenient and quick to make, and you barely lose any resources to make the snow golems.

This video deserves to blow up, it is the simplest wither farm I've ever seen and it works great! You also get straight to the point and show the mechanics of the farm aswell, which is great! The pumpkin carver also helped reduce time a lot:D
I came for the stacked raid farm, stayed for the clear succinct tutorial style and great farms
this is genius, especially for someone like me who only needs a couple and doesnt have to set up a whole contraption thatll keep producing them indefinitely
I just noticed that the best part (for me at least) about your inventions is that they are incredibly easy to set up, sometimes I'm going back to older versions were farming wasn't that much of a hassle or not a part of the game at all. These farms allow me to enjoy the newer snapshots because I get farms done super quickly and can focus on something else. I built three of your farms alr, this'll be the fourth, thanks a bunch!

I built this on my hardcore world cuz I needed dye for a project, I was super worried about somehow letting the wither escape but this was really easy to build and it worked amazingly!

these farms are actually insane… how has no one come up with these genius farms
Most farms shown on TH-cam are built by perfectionists. The can f.e. be built to optimize raw efficiency, full automaticity, and avoiding any compromises. These farms aren't that fancy, but very practical (and excellent at that!)
Your farms are so good, I always come here first when looking for farms, are you only going to do mob related farms or will we maby (hopefully) see like maby a tree farm or a cobble generator design in the future?

I found you just 5 days ago, and I have watched every farm tutorial video. They are all quick and easy to build. I have even built the raid stacking farm on my server, and it works wonders. Thank you ianxofour.
Wow gr8 farm. I have been using chickens for to collect roses, but this so much easier. Thank for the gr8 vid and cant wait for your next vid!!!
I built this farm and it's quite effective. There's a lot of manual labor involved but if you only need a nice big batch of Wither Roses and not a continuous source, it gets the job done for about 30 minutes of work.
A couple of things to consider:
- Adding hoppers underneath the Wither spawn area to catch snowballs and roses. You might even be able to fit an item sorter down there if you're inclined. If you're playing on snapshot for 1.21, the crafter would be a huge boon to productivity.
- Fill your entire inventory with full snow blocks in addition to the rose filters as shown in video. You'll spend much less time crafting more snow blocks between rounds and will only need to grab the roses on occasion to keep them from despawning and losing productivity.
- Block off the farm from Endermen or at least put a carved pumpkin on as a helmet to keep from accidentally staring down an Enderman and aggroing it.
- Clear out the blocks you placed for the farm if you plan to resummon the Ender Dragon as they will likely get removed when the portal resets.

You can also use unbreaking 3 shears. Seems silly and not worth it but if you have the cured librarian it’s one emerald for the enchanted book and xp shouldnt be an issue if you want wither roses anyway. Used this for my auto wool farms and never played long enough to have to re fill the dispensers
Since they patched the composter xray-glitch i updated your iron farm design by just building it 16-20 blocks above the ground. You get the mobs into it by building a staircase (ca. stack of dirt needed). The villagers go to their beds automaticly at night and you can lure the zombie up the same staircase.
You can also build it above the ocean but by building it near a village, you get all the mobs pretty fast into it and can still build it in one day.
Also, by building it at least 20 blocks above the ground, you can let the iron golems fall down and the timer of the villagers resets, letting them spawn new golems faster.
Should probably go with a bigger design at that point. I can link you a really great video for displaying different iron farms, each explained on their efficiency, their contribution to lag, their resource requirements, etc. It’s really thorough.

This is wonderful - as you say, needs few resources, pretty much can be used forever (until the shears wear out), it is easy to set up and get going. Fantastic.

If it's not working for someone on paper server then it could be because you have to change each dimension difficulty separately, so your end difficulty is easy if you haven't changed it.

While I personally would be of the mindset to eventually replace this farm with something more long term and mass producing, the fact of the matter is that this design is so nice for when you just need some small handful of Wither Roses… I’ll most certainly be using this design in the foreseeable future! No more nor less to be said, voice was clear with the volume being balanced. No 3 hours of explaining random stuff, straightforward to the farm, video cut in sections of the tutorial, showed the materials needed for the farm and even showcased in survival with a few tips. My man deserves this like

Your farm designs are great but I REALLY appreciate your tutorials. Building up a farm in survival can be frustrating and your calm voice soothes the nerves. You also don't add a bunch of backgroud chatting. 10/10 would recommend.

It's the easiest way to farm wither roses I've found so far and the efficiency is pretty good too.
The chicken method is simple but produces is limited amount.
The Wither inside the end portal is more efficient but a much more difficult and time-consuming build (getting he endermite in that cart is a serious pain).

This guy is just nuts. I remember watching his first elegance video and thinking "wow, that's so cool. I hope he comes out with more of these." He has not disappointed!
