    Great content as always, man. And I'm so glad you decided to follow up your pseudoslotting video! It was definitely one of the more helpful and information dense videos I've watched for cubing. Regardless, your throughness and quality editing on that video really did make a dense subject much more manageable and this video ties into it really nicely. Stay strong and keep it up!
    Tots enjoying all your hilarious 2x2 stuff, as well. 😂

    2:28 I would actually say that the pseudo-slotting solution is more optimal in this scenario than solving normally.
    If we were to solve the orange-green pair, that would be around 7-8 moves, and if we solved the red-green pair afterwards, that would be 11 moves. This would total a move count of just under 20 for the last 2 slots.
    I would encourage doing pseudo slotting in this case, as inserting the orange-green is 7-8 moves, and when the D-layer is misaligned, it provides you with an F2L case that has a corner in slot and an edge in the top layer.
    I’m sure you know this, but F2L cases with both pieces in the slot are the worst as they all take 11 moves, and f2l cases with a piece in a slot and the other in the top layer will be 7-8 moves.
    Pseudo slotting isn’t a method that’s used ONLY to get easier pairs, it’s also used to turn terrible cases(11 moves) into more manageable ones (

      Exotic Butters that’s totally right! For this case it definitely makes sense, I don’t know however, if inserting a corner with cross color on top will be more optimal on average, could be, but taking in consideration the combination of harder lookahead could make it less beneficial, if you understand what I mean :) but yea for this case definitely

      CubeHead Your pint about lookahead os quote valid. As of right now, lookahead is pretty garbage because the concept is very new and not many people have tried this, but in the future, this method may become more feasible and we may be seeing world class solvers using this is all of their solves.
      Thanks for your input, Milan ;)

      Exotic Butters thanks for your comment as well! I’m looking forward to see how pseudo slotting develops with top cubers as well

    do xcross and look ahead to the second pair and insert it and do pseudoslotting to the last two pairs and continue the last layer

    • @CubeHead
      @CubeHead  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks a lot! And not so often in speedsolves, but I use it in casual solves al lot! It’s something that needs a lot of getting used to, I would say 1/20 solves I use some sort of pseudo slotting

    For the pseudo pair, the edge orientation is easy to recognize, but for the corner, what is the easy way to recognize which way to insert? Thx

      Don't worry, it will start being really usefull at around sub 12 or some, but if you practice that it will help you a lot

      Oof... I am sub 22 and I know pseudo, COLL, full oll and pll and other. The stuff that I use is usless

    • @tommasodapavo9514
      @tommasodapavo9514 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ryanting1707 this means that your problems are cross and f2l, try to work on those (doing cases more efficiently, reducing rotations, working on your look ahead...) and you will get sub15 really fast

      @ryanting1707 4 ปีที่แล้ว
