Sold buying mine in the next couple days. No bs, I been looking at traeger for the past week or so and came across Grilla hands down better unit for the same money, better looking, alot better build quality, with out a doubt you gained a customer in my self and probably some friends and family! Thanks for great reviews and videos.

Both products looks amazing and yes Grill Grills Silverback has more quality addons and I do appreciate that.. However I am an owner of that exact model of ZGrill and I do love it. I use it a lot and find no faults with it.
Now my big question is.. will the Silverback accessories fit on my ZGrill? If so I will buy them.

I own a Silverbac, and think it's the best smoker out there that you can buy. I had a problem, I called in and spoke with Mark right away and fixed it over the phone. I would and have told all my friends and family to get if they are looking. I seen the zgrill at a swap meet and it is a huge knockoff. The only thing I wished is I had waited a little long to get the newer version of the Silverbac, I have the older model. But still love it and am huge success when everyone comes over for BBQ.

Yeah Larry. I also have the older Silverbac & wish I had the new upgrades. I love my Silverbac & it is definitely not only the best grill for your money but 1 of the best grills out there If not the best grill out there. It would be awesome if Grilla gave us a customer Loyalty program discount on a new Silverbac & perhaps I will order the New version.

Just seasoned mine. In Michigan, January and cold out. Heated up to 400 and held temp well. Have started to cook, but love it already. One question is should I line the drip tray with foil? Never used a pellet grill before and want to make sure to do it right.

When I was shopping for a BBQ back in the 80's I had a unique opportunity to inspect BBQ's at apartment complex's and I would notice that most BBQ are made to look good on the outside and junk on the inside, and that most BBQ's rust out quickly, so if I have anything to suggest is maybe an option of cast aluminum with stainless bits. I am impressed with your desire to build a quality product, and understand cost is everything in manufacturing. PS my natural gas BBQ is over 30 years old. And yes I am looking for a better way to BBQ. Thanks

The build quality of the Grilla Silverback is clearly unmatched by the ZGriil. Although similar in appearances, looks can be deceiving.
Once you put your hands on the Silverback, it speaks for itself.
The performance of the Grilla Silverback has been tried, tested and proven from the most northern climates of Canada to the far southern states In the Bayou parishes of Louisiana.
Customer service and warranty of the Grilla Silverback is at best, more than anyone could expect.
Grilla’s social media support, along with their app/website is quick and easy place to go for ordering Silverback accessories, pellets and much more.
Total access to great recipes and step by step videos make you a star in your own back yard.
The Grilla Silverback is designed and built to perform, be dependable and last years to come.

ZGrills sent me a 700E to try out. The grill 'looks' identical to a Silverbac, but they are very different as Mark has pointed out. Build wise, there's no comparison to a Silverbacs quality....the ZGrill 700E is simply a cheaper built grill. I've cooked on it twice now and it performed ok, almost no complaints. Major complaint is the controller, it's all over the place with temps, constantly +/- 25+ degrees which ended up effecting a pork shoulder cook. I'll have a video out on that hopefully this week.
Remember folks, you can always imitate, but rarely duplicate which is the case with ZGrills 700E and the Silverbac.
My Silverbac has proven itself to me, producing fantastic food with no mechanical issues whatsoever over time. We'll see how the ZGrill lasts over time.

I've gone through three different types of pellets and all the same. I ordered a bag of your pellets today to see if that will correct it. Is there anything else I can try?

Hats off the Mark for not mentioning the blatant copying (or attempt at copying) of the Grilla Silverbac. Even the logo tag on the lid is copied. SMH.

I just made my Father's Day order on a gorilla silverback I just wish you had two hookups for meat probe and I hope at least comes with a meat probe.. I almost canceled and went with z-grill because they had a promotion where you buy one and get 10 free only paying for shipping that's pretty good. And there's always updates on grills with new technology..And they have updated the control units but maybe not better build quality.. I know this video is 5 years old how can they compare now I wonder

It's a toss up between a Rec-tec and your company that I've found. And being in the top 2 of pellet grills for my money in the US is quite the feat. I'm hearing equally good things from both brands. You have the double-wall insulation and Rec-tec has the 2 probes and wi-fi capabilities. I'm having a hard time deciding, but your videos and straight forward speaking is a huge plus. Any plans for a wifi controller that can be swapped into an older machine?

Love my Siverbac. I have seen the ZGrill in person and the only similarities is the appearance. It's a tin can. Let's clear this up now. The Grilla Silverbac was first and the design was copied by ZGrills. The ZGrills is not or has ever been affiliated with Grilla Grills. It's really a shame that people see the ZGrill and then the Grilla Silverbac and just assume Grilla copied them.

Awesome compression.. well there really is one between these 2 grills besides the looks. I seen one on sale at a ridiculously low price I took it all apart laughing about how they tried so hard to copy the grilla SB but definitely missed this one. Nice try Zgrill. Funny thing is you don’t see them copy the Traeger wonder why?? Maybe cuz there crap.. lol.

BAHAHAHAHA, "Call Zgrills" I've been trying to get someone at Zgrills to help me with my broken grill for more than 3 weeks. And why I'm not looking at Grilla. The first thing I noted was how similar it looked to my 700E, which sadly put me off right away, but a bunch of people on Reddit send me this video to check out so I'm giving it another look.

The ZGrill is a knock-off of the Grilla Grill. One of the things that makes the Grilla grill so awesome is the customer service (a bunch of folks who live in Michigan who are are top-notch), not to mention that it's better made. I am *not* a Grilla employee, but I am a customer.

    • @KapinKrunch
      @KapinKrunch 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

They might look similar but the video shows all the ways in which there's is better biggest thing I think is the grates being very thick stainless steel, they're going to last you and probably where a lot of the money went. I'm also not an employee just a very happy customer. I also have their front shelf and pro cart both wonderful accessories

The Zgrill looks like a cheap knock off of a Silverbac. I wonder how many people will try to use Silverbac accessories in the Zgrill. To anyone considering a Silverbac they are well worth the money and when Mark says he talks to customers and potential customers that’s not a lie I have talked to him a few times once before the sale and a couple of times after to troubleshoot when I was having a minor problem.

  • @ProBird79

Shame that it does not have WiFi, and no it's not a $300.00 option. I like the heavier construction and that it's made in Michigan. I almost bought a Trager but decided to wail, after all, it is winter (read: another reason for WiFi). I really don't want a grilling project to install a Rasberry Pi for a PID controller. Let us hope the Engineering Manager steps up to the WiFi challenge and assuages the Master Chef. It's about the smoke after all.

What did we learn today boys and girls? NEVER judge a book by its cover. The Z may look like a Silvebac, but a Silverbac it isn’t!! When I first saw them side by side, I was in a bit of shock to see how similar they appeared. Mark dissected the Z to show you that there really is no similarity between the two.

I am seeing this as I shop your spring sale. That’s a good thing but must have tweaked the business model😂
The grill is clearly better but clearly manufactured by the same company. If not you may need to have your attorneys look into theft of your design. It’s almost identical. Yours just has better matériels.
Why only double wall on the bottom and not the rest of the barrel and the lid?
