It looks so much fun. I never played Tekken before but I bought the game for this expansion. Also finished 8's main story this weekend, I'm ready for Clive's DLC. Really can't wait!!

@@DownBadDad-iz9mphe’s already in the game. it’s a shame Tifa is not, but Clive is just as good of a pick who was decided early on in T8’s development. If people wanted him in SC, the game should have been supported- it’s why Bandai focuses more on Tekken. And more people are playing both FF16 in tandem with Clive’s joining of the roster. Either don’t play the game or don’t buy the character instead of complaining.

Two of my favorite games doing a collab fills my heart with joy. I am definitely gomma go ba k to FF16 once I get a few days with T8 Clive. The character, the stage, the costumes are all worth it.
@ you do realize they made this decision way before even FFXVI even released. Which means they were so far in development time before the community started voicing what they wanted. They didn’t ignore people they had no input and made a decision on what would be cool. Clive looks pretty rad so I think it’s good choice even if it’s not tifa.

I'm extremely excited to see Clive in FF16, him alone makes me want to upgrade to the deluxe edition to play him early. Seeing him use all of the Eikon abilities, the new Phoenix Gate stage and most importantly, TORGAL!
I wanted tifa in the game instead, because she’s a kickboxer and can body slam giant kaijus, but seeing the passion and work the tekken team put into Clive has won me over. Also, a majority of people who want Tifa in the game aren’t gooners. Just normal people. I know it’s a running joke, but some people are taking it literally.

No he says he worked 4-5 times more than the time he worked for the chracter (b4 clive) with the most visual graphics in the game , basically used more than usual to design for this character and had to take more time for lot of other times related to him

Totally recommending to check FF16 if you haven't check it out yet and do all of the side quests too you won't regret it. Clive is awesome. After that comeback to play T8 and you will understand Clive as an character and all of his power.
This. I agree with you. One thing though, the game isn't Final Fantasy. It showed the incompetence of Square Enix on furthering then franchise. Dragon Quest still is turned based and still sales. If I'm not mistaken the last mainline DQ out sold Clives game

I don't know where they will go, the weapons, pistols and lasers are included in every part and character, and they are starting to lose their original combat identity, which Namco has preserved throughout the first three episodes, which is the real martial arts that are far from exaggeration and fantasy.

While I'm still on the fence about Clive being in Tekken, I'm slowly getting swayed because of how much care Bamco put in to implement him in their game. I'm a huge fan of both franchises but more of Squenix and I loved FF16 despite it being received poorly by a lot of fans. I understand now that we got Clive because it was already being cooked even before 16 was released, so I'm still hoping we'll a proper brawler type ff character in Tekken like Tifa (I mean especially Tifa) in future seasons. This dev talk was really good and hope to get more of this. It's interesting and fascinating to hear the thoughts of the actual developers and designers about the development process (in this case, at least from the department heads).

Reminds me of yoshi's old powercrush in 7, f1+2 used to powercrush, it's that kind of range, only way it'll be safe on block is with good spacing. Edit: even with good spacing you're probably giving up your turn if it's blocked.
Hello bandai and just fellow gamers just came to say tekken 8 is decent. The real reason I'm here having a conversation about tekken 8 and clive is because this video is new and recent figured since they had just created it on youtube 2 hours ago. However my feedback and discussion about clive being in tekken 8 is alright. Although i'm guessing bandai namco is not going to use Sephiroth or any final fantasy 7 characters in Tekken 8 that would've been awesome. Though the truth is this is a nice game awards announcement about clive. I just wished I would have liked to have caught the recent game awards on december 12 just to see what people are saying public. I just barely missed the game awards going live but that is ok just wasn't up and awake. Furthermore I did see some commercials for final fantasy 16 on television and thought I saw an advertisement for Clive. Tekken 8 is fine just that I remember fighting or playing against notcis in Tekken 7 I felt like notcis in tekken 7 was good enough. The last important thing I gotta say just glad that bandai namco is allowing comments on this video and feedback on tekken 8 on their youtube channel. Since not all youtube channels are allowing you to have discussion or comments on their public youtube page.

The hair makes complete sense, he’s basically an advert, they can’t have people completely changing him. This is a huge step up from tekken 7 and their guest characters

This is honestly my most anticipated purchase since the TEKKEN 8 launch. I wasn't really feeling the previous characters, and I was really hoping that I can buy someone interesting at the last DLC. You guys surpassed all of my expectations and I will gladly buy Clive. And this purchase will also solidify my previous thoughts about buying a FF game. Can't wait to play as Noctis in FF15 and as Clive in FF16. Thank you for adding him into TEKKEN 8!
It'll probably be similar to noctis execution in 7 where his non-optimised combos are very simple but higher damage more optimised ones will need a lot of precision, wall awareness and good movement. They did also mention frame perfect inputs and harder inputs which might be in an optimised combo so it should be fine.
Of course he is going to have actual combos. It'll be like Eddy, the single button combos work well in low ranks, then as you get higher you need to use more of your kit and optimize your combos. He has just inputs for his Leviathan stuff too.

Idk how the high and mid parries will work but a lot of his lows actually use his limbs so he should be able to be low parried.

The hair makes complete sense, he’s basically an advert, they can’t have people completely changing him. This is a huge step up from tekken 7 and their guest characters

This is honestly my most anticipated purchase since the TEKKEN 8 launch. I wasn't really feeling the previous characters, and I was really hoping that I can buy someone interesting at the last DLC. You guys surpassed all of my expectations and I will gladly buy Clive. And this purchase will also solidify my previous thoughts about buying a FF game. Can't wait to play as Noctis in FF15 and as Clive in FF16. Thank you for adding him into TEKKEN 8!
I still wish they could just fix the performance out of combat in ff16 on ps5 coz its rlly bad and ruins the experience for exploring

2) hope clive has actual hard combos that you can use instead the one button ones
It'll probably be similar to noctis execution in 7 where his non-optimised combos are very simple but higher damage more optimised ones will need a lot of precision, wall awareness and good movement. They did also mention frame perfect inputs and harder inputs which might be in an optimised combo so it should be fine.

Of course he is going to have actual combos. It'll be like Eddy, the single button combos work well in low ranks, then as you get higher you need to use more of your kit and optimize your combos. He has just inputs for his Leviathan stuff too.
