If you're ever in Rome, we definitely recommend this Gladiator school. Our kids had so much fun learning the history of the gladiators and getting hand on with the weapons and armor!
This gladiator school was great! So cool that the trainer actually is a modern day gladiator that fights in the art as a sport!
He was a great gladiator trainer and so good with the kids!
This is a great experience for the kids to learn about the history of gladiators. Crazy to learn that they didn’t actually fight to the death like in movies and eventually the Roman people no longer saw the violent matches between slaves as exceptable entertainment.
Luckily it wasn't to the death for our kids sake.. they were about to let them use real swords though...🤣😂

How wonderful!! Great fun and really educational for the kids. Clearly in reality the actual Gladiators would have been forced to fight and many would have died but recreating the event in much safer circumstance makes great sense. Well done all concerned🎉❤😊.
It was great fun for the kids and entertaining for parents to watch! We learned from the historian that in most cases they actually didn't fight to the death likecwe see in movies because Gladiators were seen as valuable since they took 3 years to train and were expensive slaves that were bought. They said in most cases even though they were bloody fights with injuries that they wanted them to live and recover so they could be used for multiple fights...
