One of the things that's blown my mind when it comes to your playing is your left hand accuracy, precision and speed, and how you make it look effortless, always something I wish I had. I'll definitely be paying close attention to these videos.
In 1985 when I first started playing my instructor gave me this same exercise. I didn't do it then. Maybe I will now that a famous guitarist that I listen to recommends it.
This was a great lesson! Never really looked at left hand technique so I'm hoping this will be a good excersize. Mabye some theory stuff? How you look at putting together licks extra?

Kiko the amazing guitarist and amazing teacher! I do this exercise and it really helps. Play slowly and focus on accuracy and relaxation. Speed comes later and hard to realize patience a virtue.

I think one of the most remarkable things in your technic is your picking. And fast picking alternating strings is something that I've always had difficulties with, actually more than the left hand. Would be great to watch a video about it!
