This Gundam literally iconic for this character and if you wonder what is the pair of gun on Freedom’s waist, it’s the pair of rail gun, using physical bullet. A lot of people thoughts this railgun is a beam weapon but it’s not
Tbf ppl confused because of when Freedom does full burst They show as a whole line of fire But if you were to take it as manga panel, then it makes sense it shows the shot at the moment it fired When it shouldve been individual shots like the rifle
Aw yes, it's Gundam Jesus, baby. Thanks for reacting to this one, guys. This scene is probably the catalyst of Kira Yamato's display of compassionate savagery. It stuck with me for nearly 20 years back when it was aired on TV due to the sheer... for the lack of better term, "Jesus-like badassery" he displayed (and then continues to do so in the sequel series 2 years later and then in the sequel film just earlier this year, you guys should check it out, I believe it's in Netflix along with Hathaway). It's definitely one of the most iconic Gundam scenes ever. Like, imagine waking up from a coma, saved by the girlfriend and then gifted a newly developed nuclear-powered Gundam, goes on to Earth to save his ship crew in the nick of time, didn't kill a single enemy with his positron cannons and railguns (only immobilizing them) so they can retreat from the human microwave superweapon, saving every party in the conflict AND a quite personal enemy from a collective doom. With a great soundtrack to boot. Stuff action heroes are made of. It's just.. pure fiction, man.
Good ole Archangel, most legendary warship in all of Gundam. It's actually as iconic and tough as a Gundam. In fact breathing a sigh of relief seeing the Freedom protecting them is how others react to hearing the Archangel is on the battlefield lol
@@WadeWadeReacts its okay, it was good during the first season, then seed destiny came out and that just sucked because of a specific character, and the story was bs but it was all supposed to make sense after the freedom movie release and that specific character I mentioned would redeem themselves, but the movie was postponed for more than a decade due to toe screenwriter getting sick and then passing away in like 2016 so people already lost hope but then they released the trailer for gundam seed freedom around the time after gundam witch from mercury and in all fairness it was a great movie, it was cliche but they delivered, the movie was supposed to be the final seasoning to make the second season taste good, it took so long but finally the second season tasted good, so long as you watch the series and the movie you will think it is a good or perhaps enjoyable show.
You guys probably don't really care about you could look at the model kit reviews of different mobile suits that would show you more detail of the weapons and armaments of each mobile suit. You might even want to actually put one together yourself one day, perhaps. There are series that have couple of model kits put together in is based on the Gundam mortal kits themselves. The series is known as "Gundam Build Fighters" or in that line.
For context, at this point in the show the Strike had been wrecked following it's final battle with Aegis and Kira was thought to have been killed, but he'd actually been picked up by a neutral party and brought in secret to the PLANT space colonies which is where Zaft (the guys he's fighting here) is based out of to meet with a group there that wants to end the war peacefully without one of the factions getting wiped out. As a show of support, they bring him to a top secret facility where Zaft has built several cutting edge Gundam's and let him steal the Freedom so he can return to Earth to rejoin the Archangel. Meanwhile as punishment for losing the Strike and because the Earth army was trying purge anyone in the forces not completely loyal to the mission of the regime (which is to destroy every Plant colony and kill everyone who lives) the higher ups sent the Archangel to into a suicide mission holding off a Zaft invasion force from one of the main Earth bases, which they'd actually left and rigged to self destruct. At this point they found out about the trap (because the guy in the fighter saw that the base was empty and set to blow) but are trapped in the combat area. This is why everyone is surprised and confused with Freedom shows up, because nobody had seen it before and why the Archangel crew is so pleasantly surprised to see Kira because they thought he was dead. And what the talk about the base self destructing was about. Also the Freedom itself has a nuclear engine (the Strike and the other Gundam's of it's generation used electrical charged batteries) which gives it near unlimited energy for it's weapons (which is why it can just blast and blast without worrying about power) and the blue fins on it's wings is it's "high maneuver" system which gives it free range unrestricted flight on Earth. Note that only Freedom is flying under it's own power all the other mobile suits are standing on flying platforms and they fall when those get destroyed. It's because of those wings.
The ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam is a very powerful MS even in the next series Gundam Seed Destiny It is still considered to be one of them most powerful out there before it does of course get destroyed those huge wings on the back does allow it to fly unlike other MS of its time, they could also open up for much more higher levels of control, but equally speed and those plasma swords that you say or something like that, those are Beam Sabers of course this MS is very much famous for its amount of weaponry that it has and yet amazingly and it equally it speed pilot by Kira Yamato He got this MS after his Strike Gundam got destroyed by the Aegis Kira and his girlfriend Lacus Clyne actually store the Freedom Gundam from ZAFT BTW: the Freedom and Justice were both developed from the YFX-600R GuAIZ Experimental Firearms Type and the YMF-X000A Dreadnought Gundam BTW: there was also a secret brother the ZGMF-X13A Providence Gundam

Freedom gundam has wings for HiMat mode (High maneuver atmospheric travel) In seed destiny the sequel Kira the pilot will get the strike freedom that has 8 wings/dragoons that act as remote laser guns.
Does the tech makes any sense? No. Big gun red beam equal positron. Green beam is smth. Freedom infinite railgun ammo from the hips. Somehow wings like those have enough (presumeably) ion thrust to do atmospheric battles. Always preferred the justice. Seed power. Uhhh random ppl have it. Basically berserker mode of sorts. Yzak is a pretty good character. Best fighter for zaft that didnt defect. Pilots the weakest of the g project gundams and really puts in mileage.
