Akatsuki no Kuruma lyrics in English language: Shaded by the trees, calling out to the wind, I'm lying face-down crying I saw a version of myself I didn't even recognize On this guitar I'm playing the melody of someone who's passed on A star falls in the grief of someone who'll never be seen again Please don't go, no matter how much you scream, all it will do is quietly stir these orange petals Saved on my soft brow, I send the memories in my palm far away An eternal farewell as I keep strumming The heart of a child clinging to a gentle hand The blazing wheels cast it off and continue on On this guitar I'm playing the grief of someone who's passed on The strings in my heart being plucked at violently In the pure white unstained by sorrow, the orange petals stirred in a summer shadow Even if my soft brow is lost, I'll cross over the far off, red-stained sand The rhythm of farewell Branded into my memories, on the ever-turning earth, there is something sprouting in remembrance Sending off the dawn's carriage Those orange petals are stirring somewhere even now The peaceful daybreak I once saw Until it is placed in my hands once more, please don't let the light go out The wheels are turning
SEED's music is one of its good points, for sure. This one's title translates to Dawn's Chariot, and it goes SO WELL with the scene it plays in, frantically escaping on a spaceship-launch rail while A Goddamn Hero dies blowing it up behind them so the villains can't follow. It's a sacrifice, a goodbye, and a hope flung into the future.
Yep. *Akatsuki no Kuruma* is one of the best songs in the Gundam franchise hands down. Still, I'd really like it if you can react to the actual ED with the visual & story of the show. But I will respect your choice.
Gundam Seed and Seed Destiny are definitely up there when it comes to songs and OSTs, they might be cutting budget when recycling animations, but they went all out on the songs.
Gundam Seed and Seed Destiny have a lot of great tracks that are sprinkled throughout the series. Listening to the OPs and EDs is only the beginning for these series. Aside from all the vocal tracks, the OSTs for both have amazing, operatic themes that when you listen to them you can't help but remember the moments they played in. They are that good.
At first, robot anime basically depicted robots as heroes, but in the Gundam series, ``robots are just weapons,'' and by using them as tools of war, Gundam's original creators wanted to create a ``human drama.'' I made it. Therefore, the Gundam series not only expresses the coolness of the robots, but also the charm of the characters and the sadness caused by their death, so when you understand the meaning of the lyrics of the music, it becomes very emotional.
Just thought of an interesting anime opening/ending avenue for you to react to that I've yet to find anyone react to. It's for some old anime (circa 80's/90's productions), but it's the US/Japan openings vs the UK openings of anime such as Cyber City OEDO 808, Dominion Tank Police and Legend of the Four Dragon Kings for starters (there are more where the UK had unique opening sequences but I can't remember them of the top of my head currently). It was a time period where Manga Entertainment UK REALLY stepped up in their production values, typically creating and providing the dub tracks for English international releases using a UK based studio and Canadian ex-pat voice actors. One of the things they did was what US cartoon companies were notorious for, producing a unique score for the series, but instead of being a cultural thing, they attempted to tie it further into the feeling of the show (Legend of the Four Dragon Kings sounds more east-Asian than the original while Cyber City OEDO sounded more metal and techno to fit with the cyber-punk aesthetic). Wasn't just the music they'd update either, Dragon Kings had two English dubs released at the same time, one in the UK and Australia that matched the original more in translational context while the US and Canada version tended to swing more in the way of flanderizing things to fit American customs more or tackle tricky subtexts. Bringing it up again, for something REALLY trippy, Dragon Kings ALSO received a completely revamped opening sequence that actually matched the show, if you've seen the show AND the Jap/US opening, you'll understand what I mean (seriously, it's like they used the wrong opening sequence from a completely different series).
@@TMB_Anime No, thank you for considering. Another old anime for a possible UK vs US/Jap comparison you could look at is Guyver (OAV), which once again had a completely different musical score to the other versions.
@@TMB_Anime yes!! If you ever get a chance watch some Macross frontier songs. They are epic, one of the biggest concerts ever done in Japan. Keep it going my dude. I will wait for your next reactions.

Akatsuki no Kuruma lyrics in English language:
Shaded by the trees, calling out to the
wind, I'm lying face-down crying
I saw a version of myself I didn't even
recognize
On this guitar I'm playing the melody of
someone who's passed on
A star falls in the grief of someone
who'll never be seen again
Please don't go, no matter how much you
scream,
all it will do is quietly stir these
orange petals
Saved on my soft brow,
I send the memories in my palm far away
An eternal farewell as I keep strumming
The heart of a child clinging to a
gentle hand
The blazing wheels cast it off and
continue on
On this guitar I'm playing the grief of
someone who's passed on
The strings in my heart being plucked at
violently
In the pure white unstained by sorrow,
the orange petals stirred in a summer
shadow
Even if my soft brow is lost,
I'll cross over the far off, red-stained
sand
The rhythm of farewell
Branded into my memories, on the
ever-turning earth,
there is something sprouting in
remembrance
Sending off the dawn's carriage
Those orange petals are stirring
somewhere even now
The peaceful daybreak I once saw
Until it is placed in my hands once more,
please don't let the light go out
The wheels are turning
Thank uuu!! 🙌

One of its many good points
Not just A hero, a whole team of heroes that chose to go out with a bang than have their country be captured by the enemy.
And also the revelation that the mc have a twin sister

When Seed/Destiny blows all their budget on songs and VAs, and forgot about the animation.
Haha at least we got some amazing tunes out of it
Every Gundam Seed OST is like fine wine 🍷
Remember to react to Seed Stargazer's ost too

Destiny was even far worse than SEED. When you think it can't be any worse, Destiny took it as a challenge and makes it even worse.
I hope more people react to Yuki Kajiura songs. Her OSTs are great, up there with Sawano for me. Both have their own style that easily recognizable.
This definitely deserves to be listened by more people

It's great to have music in a series that can truly define a moment

Don't forget the gundam seed stargazer, the song is excellent too.
This episode made me cry
The scene for this song always tearjerker for me, when a father/hero sacrifices himself so the dark future can be avoided 😭
Yuki Kajiura did the ost for dot hack the first anime/game series, and Lien did the second anime/game series
