I once met a man who so loved his life
He traveled about seeking beauty, not strife
He used paper and gesso, canvas and brush
His passion and talent he shared with us
Travel with wonder and vigor and calm
And journal of the beauty of here and on 💜

Hey Cesar, if you are in the midwest, please consider going to Door County Wisconsin--you will never forget the inspirational settings there--particularly the sunsets in Egg Harbor or Ephraim. There is a plein air arts festival up there this week too...God Bless you and your wife--you are truly beautiful people!

Ceasar and Valentina, I truly appreciate what you have and are creating together. It's a beautiful collaboration. I'm learning to look at the things around me as it pertains to my artwork in a new way. Perspective is truly the key, but putting that onto the surface (i.e., canvas, etc) is the challenge. Thank you for the enlightenment. Also, my husband and I are motivated to find pleasure in simplicity. God bless you for what you do. Be safe out there.

You have a keen eye for detail. The hardest to understand is how much observation goes into art, you have managed to break that barrier in a meaningful way. Fundamentals of just seeing is not easy grasp as we are so bad at relating to one and other without going through the process. Keep it up and I keep watching :) Thanks a million!

You didnt rap the video up! Is this part one of 2? I really enjoyed seeing how you figure out how to compose the painting. Were you inspired by Sargent or Monet? When doing landscapes they used that same philosophy of not being too picky about their subject. It works. Saludos!

Found you through Turner Vinson's page. I can't tell, can't figure out. But, what kind of paper are you using, if you have a minute to answer... is it watercolor, acrylic, heavy sketch... what weight, etc. and is everything in oil or acrylic... sorry if I'm coming in late to the game here... but just trying to figure out and loving you explain your process. Wonderful you are so young and talented and have the sweet Valentina along with you. Thanks!

Cesar Santos you think you’ll make it back to Firenze at some point? I have to say I studied painting in the uk 30 years ago and have painted oil on canvas since, but back then “ technique” was almost a taboo. Such a shame, as studying your videos now has been really fascinating and enlightening. I’d never tried gesso on a sketchbook so I can use oils on paper. Grazie mille!
