Montavio is the remote cable same for Mavic 2 and Mavic air...ie ... the port and connector on the remote...thanks in advance

Dude, you're a life saver. I just spent 30 minutes fiddling with all the cables that came with my Mavic 2 and I could not figure out how to charge that damn controller. I was sure they forgot to give me a cable. I looked at the "whats in the box" card and I have all the cables, so now I'm real confused. Search YT for "how to charge mavic controller" and DJI's channel says "plug in the USB cable and charge it", well I don't have the correct cable to plug into my controller, how the hell am I supposed to charge it without a cable. Then I found your video and I was like "mother fuckers", why on earth don't they show hidden cable on the charger in the owners manual. All my owners manual says is "plug it in to charge it". Thank you so much for making this video, I hope the rest of my dji experience isn't as complicated as this hidden cable was.
Lol dude tbh i felt the same way i thought i was pretty dumb but then again ive never seen cable styles like that. And if it happened to me it had to happen to many others. I looked on youtube to find a video on it but there was only one on the old mavic which didnt help so i just made one. Thanks man! The charging port on both the Mavic & the Mavic 2 controllers are just a little bit delicate. A slightly safer way to charge your controller is to buy a female ended USB cable be it a type C, a micro usb or an iPhone lightening cable & just connect that too the cable where your phone connects to the controller. That way you ain't constantly wiggling & jiggling the controller's micro USB port trying to get the cable in to charge it.

What do you mean exactly? The charging port is proprietary, some type of square, micro usb. Where else are you suggesting to charge from when you say female usb? The controller has no male parts tahat I’m aware of. The usb type A port on the bottom is for a video downlink. Are you saying you can charge from a double (male) usb down there?

Thanks!! I have to laugh as I am charging the battery right now and I still have the plastic on my charger so I didn't see that cable! I do that with a lot of things to keep them clean. It started when I saw my sister had a remote for the TV she had in her kitchen in a ziploc bag to keep it from getting splattered on by various kitchen stuff. From there, I started leaving remotes in their original plastic. Put the battery in and reseal it!
Nice one. I couldn't find it either. I wouldn't leave plastic on a charger though as they get really hot

It looks like the micro USB plug is upside down when you plugged into the RC Port. But thanks for the info as my charger is still wrapped with the plastic so it looks new always.

You can also charge the remove using the USB cable by plugging the regular USB end into the charger and the micro USB into the charging port on the remote

That type c cable provided by dji is meant for connecting the drone to the drone.

Only from the charge port but u can charge ur phone from it
Does the charger need to be plugged into the wall before or after connecting the batteries? Or does it even matter?

So you must have just missed a lot of videos that came out on release date. All of those topics where covered as soon as it was released by all the last pilots . 51 drones, Drone valley, and so on. Tons of videos out there to learn everything you need to know. I watch them every day so when I finally decide on what one I'm getting I know everything there is needed to fly and set up .
