mine don't lock anymore... the last time I opened up it, I almost could'nt removed it. I put back the old one with no key on my bike...

Hola, yo compré esa tapa de bencina y ayer (luego de 3 años de uso), falló y no pude abrirla. Busqué por muchos lugares y con opinión técnica de talleres de Harley acá en Chile y me dijeron que no sabían como solucionar ese problema. El síntoma es que la llave gira y gira junto al cilindro pero no destraba la tapa....., al final del día solo me quedó romper el mecanismo para poder sacarla. Un desastre.....

It still stupid as hell that gas caps can be removed just like that straight from the factory. There are cheap as hell woethless bikes with locked gas caps for god's sake
