u r a gem...the more I see ur videos more I become ur fan...topics which I never understood during my msc days...mostly try to mug up...now I understand... thank you
Wow, that was an awesome explanation. Quite a bit clearer and easier to understand than our immunology professor at university. Thanks a lot. You made my exams a lot easier.
Very well explained. Kindly teach this part before tcell activation process for proper sequence. And do segregate positive and negative selection events (which u already explained in a diffused way) . Keep it up! ❤️
Just to confirm, when the thymocyte comes in through the HEV it will be CD4-CD8-, the t-cell receptor will begin to form via VDJ recombination, and then they will interact with the thymic epithelial cells to become CD4 or CD8 in the inner cortex and this is where positive selection happens (with MHC I or MHC II) becoming CD8 and CD4 respectively --> then in the medulla they'll undergo negative selection with dendritic cells or medullary thymic cells (these cells have peripheral antigens which induce the negative expression) --> then they go on to the lymph nodes or in the blood as naive T-cells awaiting to differentiate in T-helper or cytotoxic T-cells I hope this is right?
Bro, can u explain the concept of MHC restriction? Like why some cells cannot bind to the mhc, even though they have the same tcr having alpha and beta chains !!
i have a doubt.... in the video he says that the thymocytes undergo apoptosis if they dont recognize the protein present on the the self cell, so how odes the thymus recognize if the thymocyte has previously bound to it or not and subject it towards apoptosis
When IL-2 is secreated by one T-cell in a peripheral lymphoid organ, do all the T-cells in the vicinity proliferate in response to IL-2 or only some of them preferentially respond to it? Explain??
Sir please tell me answer I am confused so muchPositive selection in the thymus is mediated by:a Thymic epithelial cells B Macrophages C Dendritic cells D T-cells E B-cells
This was very helpfull thank you, but I still had a question. Where does the activated T-helpercell mature into T-helpercells, T-suppressorcells and T-helper-memorycells? And where does the activated cytotoxic T-cell mature into cytotoxic T-cell and T-cytotoxic-memorycells?
Hello. Do you have some lecture about diabetes 1 and imunnology? I want to understand, if and how to help daughter with type 1. Thank you. Best wishes.
At last stage......how can cd4 cell iteracts with self molecule...becoz cd4 reacts only with mhc2..while our body cell has mhc1....and also how can our body cell showcase our own protein...as mhc1 showcase pathogens antigen
u r the greatest
Thank you fir appreciating my efforts

Sir after the degradation of thymus gland how's the development of the T- cells occur pls reply
i have a doubt.... in the video he says that the thymocytes undergo apoptosis if they dont recognize the protein present on the the self cell, so how odes the thymus recognize if the thymocyte has previously bound to it or not and subject it towards apoptosis
exactly.
Once they have bind to any of the receptor they are transferred to blood or lymph by venules
You are right. If TCR receptor recognise our own antigen, those type of T cell must be destroyed.
When IL-2 is secreated by one T-cell in a peripheral lymphoid organ, do all the T-cells in the vicinity proliferate in response to IL-2 or only some of them preferentially respond to it? Explain??
You are a Savior!
