    Thanks for the video,;! Just alittle extra info for the newbies like me ***That pin he wasn't told about,. That holds on the pressure line.. IT IS HOLLOW ! NOT A SOLID ONE YOU CAN SEE,. And is snug against the inside of the little hole under the pressure line So get a drill bit that's just a bit smaller than hole ,so it sits on top of the pin and then you got to find a solid place within reach to brace part, hold bit, and a tool ,to tap out pin to remove line. Hope this saves you all the time it took me to figure out 😊LOL Have a great day 😊

  • @shoDOHC
    @shoDOHC 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    If you've a 98 and most 99 it's even worse as they come factory with a plastic style (abs) master cylinder and slave cylinder. It's a real rabbit hole bec, if you want to replace JUST the slave, you need to replace the master, the line and the slave to get the job done. No exceptions. Good luck finding the line, it's nearly impossible but do try multiple dealerships and local yards. Ask ask ask. Master and slave will need to be from 2000-2002 and those are easy to find of course

      A leak inside of your hydraulic system can cause all kinds of issues. Is going to be difficult to pinpoint exact points of failure. What common issues are difficulties shifting into one particular gear or all gears. I would suggest that you check your cylinders for a leak. Even after replacing the cylinder is he can be difficult to remove all of the remaining air from the system. For this I will suggest using a vacuum bleeder. I will eventually post a link in the description. I have not done so yet. I will do it after the video reaches 50000 views

    • @tjdot8
      @tjdot8  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Master cylinder is located near the top of the fire wall on the driver side. Is where you put on your fluid. If you get someone to push in your clutch while you look you should see you slave cylinder move. If you have one. This car has hydraulic clutch. Yours could possibly be a cable driven system.

    • @louismuller8471
      @louismuller8471 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, the sentra's (sunny or Pulsar) don't have Hyd clutches. They all cable type which connect to a arm above the box. The issues can be similar if the cable adjustment is out. Adjustment is where the cable meets the arm above the box. The comment by tjdot8 is incorrect, he has spotted the brake booster and arm.

      So after digging around for a couple of minutes I did find that your system is a hydraulic system. However and please do not take this to the bank.I did not find anything to indicate that the systems are linked in any way.my suggestion would be to verify whether or not you have a leak in either your master or slave cylinder

    "No one on TH-cam told me about the little pin in there....you bastards" I laughed my ass of on that.
    Did you see any leaking on the cylinder to indicate an issue? Was the fluid level low? My car is doing this but my cylinder is dry as dirt and my fluid level although a bit low and dirty does not seem to indicate a leak or that it would be low enough to affect operation like it is. Great video. Thanks for the laugh and any advise. Thumbs up regardless..

    • @tjdot8
      @tjdot8  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      broderp yeah there was some fluid leaking from around the rubber boot on the slave cylinder

    • @tjdot8
      @tjdot8  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      broderp and also a response to your question yes my fluid level was low

    • @tjdot8
      @tjdot8  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      broderp by your fluid level being low that is indicating that you do have a leak somewhere if you do not see fluid under the boot of your slave cylinder. check directly above your clutch pedal where are your master cylinder engages with the pedal. if you see fluid leaking directly above your clutch than your master cylinder is at fault

    So i ran into this exact same problem, i started with the slave first. Still same problem afterwards. I ordered a clutch kit, and replaced that. After i got it in and transmission up i just had to fix a couple wires that broke from removing trans. That was fixed. I got it to run and soon as i did it was going into gears and i drove around a couple days and sooner than later back to square 1. Clutch MC is full and i bled the slave. I missed a step to top off trans fluid, i will try that next. Any help or opinions please

    Man I have an automatic 2000 v6 accord coup with 300k, when I go from a stop to start moving the engine is revving but I’m
    Slowly creeping until I get out of first or second gear once I get up to speed it’s fine. Anyone know the issue? When I got it the engine would over rev and I’d let off the gas and it would feel like it’d catch and shift from first to second but it would only do it once when I first started it after sitting for a while but then it started doing it more and more until now it does it like this all the time that it creeps along until I get going fast enough to be out of first gear. I replaced the first and second gear solenoid with one from the junkyard maybe the junkyard part was bad or it was something else because there was no change but this was back when it only did it upon first starting.

    • @tjdot8
      @tjdot8  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would not exclude you having a bad master or slave clutch cylinder. Not sure if I showed where to check for leeks but you would check just above your clutch where it goes into your masters cylinder if you see or oil leaking your master cylinder is leaking check your slave cylinder behind the boot to see if you have fluid there if you do then it is likely leaking as well
