Great video. What are the dimensions on the medium port bit that you like so much. Have you had much luck with horses liking a medium port bit with a roller? I haven't had much luck with my horses with them
@@lisaerickson1703 Inside measurement: 1 1/2 inches tall. 1 inch wide. The "curve" of the mouthpiece transitioning into the port is very important to get the right feel.
I have got myself a progect horse that will buck me off when i canter, i have done so much work with him and hes been out in AZ trails so hes broke but i just cant get him to canter can you make a video about it so i can understand what else i need to work on?
Always appreciate these instructive videos. Went to Bill Freeman bits. The rise on his 110B low port bit picture looks lower than the rise in the bit picture you share here. Before I buy one, just confirming: are they one and the same? Thank you!
Thanks for the info! One thing to also take into consideration is the shape of the horse's tongue and height of its hard palate. I have mustang with a thick tongue and low palate, and I have a thoroughbred with a thin tongue and high palate. They can't share the same bit. Thanks again.
Here's the link to my online training course, "Lope Slow with Complete Control": online.horsetrainingvideos.com/lope-slow-with-control/

Yes, the 110B is the low port I use... and it's the best one I've ever found. I use the high port too 106B. Super good bit.

Any suggestions on where I can buy these bits that you like?
Bill Freeman bits. Be aware, not all of his bits are good. Do not get his "Wrangler" bits. His original line is excellent.
Go bitless. You can do everything with a bitless that you can do with a bit and it’s more gentle.
@@tiajewels2820 Bitless is ILLEGAL at the shows. Plus, I've never seen a GOOD performance horse wearing one.
JUST GO BITLESS! MY HORSES ALL TRAINED BITLESS AND NO MOUTH OR TEETH PROBLEMS, BITS CHANGE THE TEETH TOO!

If I can’t get it done with a halter w/reins or snaffle…….back to trying to fill holes!!! Hate port bits!!
